Your antivirus seems to be the one responsible for the issue. For 0.5.9 we intended to have a Steam page check in case it did get approved, so the game will ping Steam servers and see if the game was validated.
Your antivirus seems to be interfering with the HTTPS connection, and it seems to have changed your certificate authorities. That is a pretty big deal, and I would recommend to remove that piece of crap antivirus for one that does not tamper with one of the most important parts of internet security. Windows Defender actually works pretty good from Windows 10 and above ;)
From what I could gather on the internet, it seems like it is a very involved and technical process. And since this is a critical feature for internet security I would not recommend you to try it out if you don’t exactly know what you are doing.
Your safest bet would be to reinstall Windows, and spread word around you that Total Defense will break your computer the same way a nasty virus will…

So I know on the discord there was a fight going on about what you do with the white hair girl when she was still little, at some point you said something about if you didn't get on steam after the change you'd go back to what she looked like or something. Is that still gonna happen? Cause it'd be a shame to see the new her go to waste but I'm also kinda interested on what you were gonna do with the old her as well.

I really don't understand the name change, I feel like Extra Life is simple and perfectly explained the plot of the story, that being a second chance at life. I mean it's your game so do you, I just don't see how you can pick a better name than what you already have.
Extra Life was sharing its name with a charity that raises funds for children's hospitals, so I think you understand that it would be better if people would not stumble into the "adult" game, while searching the way to help children...
On PC, the only steps are to extract the game into a fresh folder, and start up the game :)
Unzipping the 0.5.9 into the 0.4.91 version does not work, it needs to be extracted into a fresh folder.
If the game starts, it will create a few .txt files that indicate what goes wrong. If you don’t have those files, I would recommend checking Windows updates, the graphics drivers and so on. If your game path contains unicode characters, it can lead to issues as well on Windows 10 for example :)

I deleted the anti virus. but its still not working. It still directs to Total Defense. What can I do to get it working?
