Bluestacks is garbage. If you click "download" on linux, you get a popup blocking the entire webpage. You can't get rid of it without closing that tab/window.
Bluestacks is your best friend. It plays the game easily.
Download apk > open bluestacks > there will be a file icon on the bar to the side, click on it > find the apk > open apk > done! it will download it for you :)
What didn't work/What not to try with this:
SWF: Downloaded everything, did all the steps and got the go.
SWF is practically useless. It skips everything, fast forwards the entire game, doesn't let you actually play anything. As far as the program goes it could be useful for something else in the future, but not this.
So, don't even waste your time with SWF.
Ruffle does not work either. I've gotten it to play the music and show the button for muting and unmuting said music, but otherwise there is a white screen.
(However despite this, I suggest Ruffle for anything else, since it usually does a good job on emulating Flash.)
On Basilisk, I work on Opera and Firefox, Google doesn't work for my computer. It may or may not work, I am not a good source. I downloaded it and tried to figure out how to use it on my own (there is not pasted instructions in the files nor online anywhere) but it never worked. Someone please reply if you got it to work (and preferably, how).
There are a multitude of ways you can get this to work but the easiest would be to get Basilisk Portable With Flash Player from the Internet Archive by Nosamu.
Eventually this'll work in the Flash Player emulator Ruffle but not for a while at least.

Ok. I downloaded Blue stacks so I can play this game. I made it to like 2 levels but it keeps kicking me out.
Does anyone have instructions for downloading the APK one?

actually. the old stand-alone player still works. But it requires the game to be downloaded locally first.
