New Features Currently In Development

I'm really busy with high school right now. I am aiming for v0.2 to be released this summer,

Features pretty much complete:

  • Much better camera controls, actually rotates around the ball in 360 degrees
  • This means you have total freedom of two dimensions with mouse and keyboard combined
  • Controller support, use left stick to move and right stick to rotate the camera (it actually works surprisingly well)
  • Now using a 2020 LTS version of Unity compared to 2018
  • The biggest level ever in this game (which will probably be outsized later, I just made a new word)

Still working on:

  • Porting over all the levels, prefabs, and other stuff from the old game (this was an overhaul)
  • A universal input system, you can use KBM, controller, or touch controls and switch instantly
  • Android support (the input system will help a lot)
    • iOS support is not planned as of now because I need a Mac, an iOS device, and a $99 / year developer fee. I actually have none of those. Until this game becomes stable enough and popular enough, iOS will not happen.
    • The Play Store is much more lenient with a one-time $20 fee, but future beta releases will still be put on itch.io as an apk.
    • If you didn't get the point yet, the game won't be on stores until it is polished enough for an official release.

Ideas not started yet (these probably won't make it in 0.2):

  • Skins / customization
  • Much better main menu
  • Actual music and sound effects
  • Timer for speedrunners (I think this game could fit very well into this category)

Right now, I'm working on rebuilding the game from the inside out. I want to establish the core mechanics first so I can have a lot more freedom creating levels. Thank you for your patience, I really want it to pay off for you with great new features.

(yes I came up with that in case I want to have more developers work on this with me)
