It won't update on its own if you downloaded it from here; you need to download the new version manually in that case. If you use the itch.io app (https://itch.io/app) it'll update on its own.
If you downloaded the game from here over 6 days ago, you need to download the new version. To do that you just download the game again. If you want it to update automatically you can use the Steam key and add it to Steam or use the itch.io app: https://itch.io/app
let me explain, you are probably in chromebook which i am in and you just wasted 5 dollars for nothing but if you wanna play among us then go to google play on your computer, then click on your account and go to manage acounts and click"connected devices" .scrolldown and there will be a button that says "install and play games on your chromebook" then click it and then click more and finnaly click accept and it will take some seconds or minutes and when the google play logo apears in your screen, go to the search bar on google play and look for among us, then download it and it will take some minutes but when its downloaded you can play... It is a great game but when I play on Iphone It will let me play for like 40 minutes and pretty much 3 games then it will kick me out and I will be back on my home screen. Could you please fix that in the next update.

So I was playing in a lobby with 3 other players, then out of nowhere they ask where I lived and what my age is, I was going to leave the lobby but I stayed because I wanted to see what was going on so I have more to say as i'm writing, so when the match started I was trying to finish my tasks because we were playing hide and seek, then they would press button for no reason and ask for everyone's snap (that means snapchat) and then they would say if I asked why they asked where I lived they would say that they were not stalkers even though they were asking where I live and my street. I know right it is super annoying but it isn't innersloth's fault. If you wanna play the worlds most popular games you have to cooperate with these annoying players.
Just a heads up I found a glitch where I could see the voting tablet but the left side of it was barely visible and I could barely vote someone, but I could not use he chat. Just trying to let you know.
You should add an update that either allows you to friend people or search them up and join them that would make things a lot better if you meet somebody really cool and they get disconnected
Okay so I downloaded among us a month ago, and to be honest it started to glitch about a week ago. it keeps kicking me out in the middle of the game and asking me to update the app, i did that to the latest update and still hasnt worked properly. Anyone else having this issue?

When you open it does it say the version is v2020.10.22i in the upper left corner? If it doesn't, you might need to download it again
