Lord what have I created.

Home stretch baybee! Lots of dialogue being worked on, most, if not all sprites have been finished! No sound or music will be added sadly, but I still feel like it's wonderful in it's own, horrible way that I hate.

Window Icon, because it's beautiful just like Meta Knight

The kirby demo came out. Progress has been mildly slowed

Wonderous news, even though I'm dying, I've made a bit of progress today. Despite the lack of devlogs, there's been some decent progress in the past. My music and voice people are no longer helping so this will be soundless sadly, but at least we get some more art and cursed dialogue!

Little progress thing! Take the main menu

I've become very rudely sick, while I'll try to continue progress, it won't be at it's full potential...

Day 2 report! More writing and way more drawing for all day, my cursed and horrible thoughts have been provided to this hellspawn of a creation. More endings have been created, including the first success. A marriage has been committed, Kirby showed up, god is dead and I killed him. Theres over 350 lines of code, hamburg, mexican batman is very fun to draw now and I feel like a pro at drawing kirby characters now. Characters may get bad voice acting now as well as music. Not yet confirmed yet.

My name is Troy, and this is my first jam, and I decided to try using Ren'Py to make thing, since I want to learn something new!

At first, I had planned a completely different thing for this, maybe a short horror story where the building the protagonist is in is constantly growing until it covers the world, but then, I woke up at 5am and my brain immediately got corrupted with Meta Knight Dating Simulator. So here I am, making it.

Using my art power and the energy to come up with fully satire and stupid dialogue in absolutely zero notice, I've created multiple scenes and multiple sprites, along with 50~ lines of dialogue. It's been an incredibly fun day working on this because I can allow the thoughts that scare my family at reunions out in a game format.

Here is the game over screen, thank you goodnight

1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

My name's Troy! I've been interested in doing a jam for a good while, but I was too scared to actually join one, so here I am, minor coding experience and a ton of ideas for games going through my head..

2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

nope, this is my first! I've been looking at this one for the past few jams and I finally decided to get in on it!

3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

I'd say the one that made me want to try making games was Kirby and the Crystal Shards, and even though I no longer want to make a game in a style like that (especially for a jam), maybe someday I'll manage it :)

4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

Experience with Godot, Unity, Ren'Py, and some older ones who's names aren't at the top of my head.. I made small rpgs with friends in godot, only made some code with unity, and I've only tested out alot of ren'py

5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

My main goal is to make a full rpg, original characters and a deep story..

6. What are your goals for this game jam?

I plan to try something out on Ren'Py for this and see how much I like making this! Two weeks is definitely plenty time to work on it as well, so I think my game will turn out great!
