Hi!
That's no worries at all! We make the jam pages public about a month in advance so people can prepare for it :)
Often, we (the organisers) have our entries submitted on the first day too xD
As long as your game follows the rules of the jam, we don't mind that people start it early!
Yay, for having finished your entry!! Don't forget to submit it in two weeks!
Hiya!
See this topic ;)
Computer is in the room, as an object you can interact with.
Escape rooms are a common puzzle type in Interactive Fiction (especially parsers). As long as your game is text-focused, we're good!
Oh thank you! Glad you had fun!
With Adventuron, transcripts are done locally (saved on your browser session like saved games), and can only be downloaded as .txt file when you use the TSTOP command. If you added it to your comment, I don't think it went through. But you can dm it to me on the IntFiction Forum or via Discord (if you are on the TALJ server, I'm there too).
Hyia! I got an error when clicking the option about hearing from the poet. Same thing happened again when trying to send a message to the admiral
I can't reach the end :/
EDIT: I've tried a different a random set of path and it worked, then tried a different combination and it didn't again. I think it might have to do with variables that were not set at the start? (if a variable is not set with a value at the start with Chapbook, and you come upon some code using the variable, it leads to error)
Hiya,
Cool to see a Twine game look like a neat Visual Novel :P Also the puns xD
I got a bit lost though keeping up with the different statements, it would have been neat if they were recorded somewhere and we could check on them during the game.
Found a little bug when trying to click on the top Setting Button.
Hi there,
The game allows the following combination of commands for this action:
- add herb _ honey
- mix herb _ honey
- put herb _ honey
- put honey _ herb
where the _ can be replaced with: in, with, on, at, into, to, for
These preposition are "synonymous" in this game, and can be used interchangeably.
I will try to add the and to the code when I can get access to it again this weekend. (Adventuron is throwing errors right now...)
Thank you for the report!
Hi there!
LLM are Large Language Models, models coded in a way it can learn from its data. ChatGPT, OPENAI and the like are LLMs.
(I much prefer your interpretation! xD)
NOTE: I have a few (optional/side) broken commands still, but the game is playable from start to end. I'm currently fixing them! EDIT: OK I found one or two other bugs, you can still reach the end, but some text might not appear.
And I broke some tiles... ;-;
I'm crunching it hard to fix it all real quick!! SO SORRY!!
Hi there!
Just a question from us: what would be happening in the computer/TV?
As for your second question:
Parsers are formatted differently than Choice-based/Hyperlinks type of IF, especially when it comes to code. Instead of moving from passage to passage, or screen to screen, you move from one room to another. You can break down a space (like a living room) into multiple rooms (northern part of the living room, the southern part of it, etc...)
A coded "room" in parser is similar to a "text-passage"/page on the screen in Choice-based/Hyperlinks. So the optional rule for a parser-type would be to have the whole game coded in one "passage"/screen.
I hope this clears things up!
