The layering is exactly what I was looking for, thank you!

Out of curiosity, what program did you use to lay the demo images out?

Do you have any recommendations or tips for blending between the different shade of grass seamlessly?

This is absolutely gorgeous, thank you for the great work

Thanks! Let us know what you think :)

Thanks so much! I'd love to revisit this one at some point to implement a little clean up and add some clarity around the interactions. Thank you so much for your kind words!

we'd love to get your feedback!

Thank you!

I'd like to imagine I'm drinking my defeated opponent's sweat

Loved the music!

Got into a funny state where the enemies were all standing on each other / me.

Really beautiful artwork and effects!

Thank you!!!

Thank you for playing!

We'd love if you could play ours :)

Thank you! We'd love to get some feedback, and see our game played live :D

Thank you!

Ahhh! Glad you're enjoying it. Thanks for the screen shot! It helped me realize I missed collision on the corner tiles :(

That's a good idea! I might do that as well!

Thank you for playing! It was intentional!

Also, you might not have rated! I noticed our game was at 3 ratings before and after you comment, so I figured I would just mention :) Thanks again!!

Thank you! That's good feedback. I only really tested with arrow keys. I should have put in another alias for plugging in for WASD users!

Thank you!

The cutscenes are great. The pixel art is really good as well.  I think you have a nice foundation here. Some of the movement and such could be polished, but it was fun and charming. Well done.

Stunning visuals! Really loved how this came out. Well done.

The way you integrated Minesweeper is really cool!

We have! We actually won last time :D

Can't wait to see the theme for this jam!

Thank you!

I think that the most recent update should have fixed this issue (released last night).  We made it so that obstacles will explode when they enter the Space Station's gravity.

Thank you for playing!

Thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed it :D

The way I do fonts is download the font, add to the game directory and then:

  1. Add a label that i want to use the font on.
  2. Set "auto-wrap" to true
  3. Go down to font and add a new dynamic font
  4. Go to settings, drag in your font file
  5. Set the font size.

You can save the font resource out and re-use it if you want. Just make sure to make it "unique" if you want to change font sizes for another label!

Well done! I had a lot of fun with this entry. I loved the perspective. Sometimes it was a little hard to judge distances and angles, but using the planet as the play screen was really cool.

Good music and sounds as well!

Great idea! I had a lot of fun trying to make the planets as small as I possible could.  I like how the building mechanic is forgiving, because if you overshoot, you can just go grab other materials.

Really fun idea. very original.

Suggestions:

  • Saving! I would have loved to come back to my progress.
  • When leaving an area, you might want to consider stopping the music so it doesn't stutter if the load takes longer on slow devices.
  • It was a little dark! I wanted to see a little more clearly because your assets were really good.

Seriously, well done.

The flip-flop mechanic was pretty cool.  Wasn't expecting that the first time I shot!

Fun game. Only thing that was tough was when I got fast, being precise was sometimes a big challenge.

I really like the direction you went with this game! Very well done. Some small suggestions:

1. I think making the area to interact with the pick up objects larger would help a lot.
2. You can bind multiple keys to the same action.  I would have loved have arrows to move as well.
3. Saving!
4. Larger font size I think would have helped.

But really, good work. I had fun with your out-of-the-box idea!

Good job! Was there any sounds? I didn't get any, and I think that would've made a big difference.

I think the enemy difficulty ramped nicely, but I think it would've been cool to have the player's move speed start higher.

I had a lot of fun though!

Pretty cool little demo. You know what needs to be worked on, so I'll just say that this was cool and ambitious for the time frame. Well done.
