The top section is literally just character-building. There's no mechanical effect on the gameplay - it won't change your dice rolls or anything - but it can be used to help you stay in character, and make actions that make sense for them. Think of the 'skills' bit as a place to put a special thing *this specific character* can do that not everyone can.

Also, I just wanna say, I love the idea of the laminated wipe-clean character sheet!

Probably not. It costs about £100 to put games on Steam, and I'm unlikely to ever make that much back from it.

You can always add it to your Steam launcher by adding it as a non-steam game, if you just want to be able to launch it through there.

Really nice little learning experience as well as a surprisingly fun game. Nice work!

I'd love to see an addition so that how easy to remember a password is had an effect on its stats.

Party Paws

(1 edit)

Party Paws is a little local multiplayer party game made up of fast and frantic minigames. I've decided to publish it today as an open beta while I continue working on it. It's small right now, but it'll grow a lot bigger during the beta.

I'm looking for testers to join in and help me squash bugs and understand any issues with controllers I don't own. Then the beta will move onto adding new minigames to expand the gameplay. So if you're up for helping squash bugs and shape the development of the game, head on over to its page to download it: https://estragonhelmer.itch.io/party-paws

And don't forget to join the Discord server to report bugs and build the beta test community: https://discord.gg/CgYeRvRyp3

Thanks, but I'm not really developing this game any more now. It's nice to know people enjoy it, but I doubt it'll get any more updates.

Thanks! ^.^

Music is about the only area of game dev I don't have covered. It's definitely what's missing, so maybe one day I'll get some for it.

I'm in! Get that money doing some good!

I had launched my game with 100% off for a limited time, for that lockdown bundle thing they did.

9 days ago that sale ended, and the game is now $2+

4 days ago, the analytics show 2 people downloaded it, but neither of those downloads seems to be paid for.

All I can think is that maybe someone who downloaded it before has downloaded it again. Does analytics count that as a new download?

Glad you like the game! I've not done an Android game before, but it is on my plans for learning, so maybe one day I'll port some of my older ones across to it, too.

If you want to donate, you can always buy the game again, and set your price. I assume? I've never tried downloading a game twice on here, but I guess it's possible. If not, I've got a (rather neglected) Ko-fi page here: https://ko-fi.com/estragonhelmer

Thanks for this! Does it not work on MacOS at all then?
I couldn't be 100% sure it would as I don't have a Mac to test it on.

Thanks! I know there's some clunkiness to the controls. I've learnt a lot since I did most of the coding for this, so I really need to get back to it and fix it up.

Thanks! ^.^

I've just joined itch.io, and published my first game on here! ^.^ 🎮💕🐕 https://estragonhelmer.itch.io/collared

With a lot of us trapped indoors due to the Coronavirus, I thought we could all do with more games, so I made it pay-what-you-want. You can grab it free to keep yourself going, or donate to help keep me going.

It's a little puzzle platformer where you have to rotate bits of the world to forge a path to the goal.
