Those that spawn too high are hard to shoot. Because you basically only shoot at the bottom of the collider. I’ll fix the top spawn point.

The repair upgrade speeds up recovery after the hoverbike gets shot down. I’ll redo the repair later. This game mechanic doesn’t seem very good.

Mine is not quite a clicker. The player collects the initial income by timely movements on the game screen. There is no point in clicking here.

If we are talking about inaction, then with all probability the crystals will spawn on the ground. At this time, the player’s hoverbike also descends to the ground. That is, there will still be a small income with complete inaction of the player.

Then you can buy upgrades for the per-second income. This mechanic is no longer purposefully dependent on the player’s actions.

The only place where I see cheating through software autoclick is the automatic purchase of upgrades for income/second. Or am I missing something?

I’m indie hobby solo developer. I’ve long wanted to try making a quick game with rich backgrounds and character outlines. And this is the game I got.

Devlog 3 | Diving enemies and the plasma shotgun

Changed:

  1. Enemy spawning. Now enemies appear in waves every few seconds. Each next wave contains more enemies, but the reward for each enemy is higher. If at least one enemy runs off the screen, the wave counter will reset to 1.
  2. Explosion animation. Now the explosion is juicier. And when the explosion occurs, enemies fly to wrecks.
  3. The upgrade for resetting progress for prestige has been renamed to Ascension.

Added:

  1. Diving of knocked-out enemies.
  2. Upgrade that allows you to shoot 2 or 3 bullets at once. Plasma shotgun!
  3. Upgrade to increase the damage of the player’s gun.
  4. Display of earned coins.
  5. The sound of hitting an enemy.
  6. New soundtrack.

Вы играете за одного из ученых, исследующих реакцию какой-то неизвестной материи. Ваша задача - успеть выполнить достаточное количество реакций между единицами материи до тех пор, пока у ученого не кончатся попытки.

Управление:

  1. Выберите ученого. У каждого из них есть особые способности. Внимание! В прототипе доступен только Эйнштейн, который может изменять положение единиц материи относительно друг друга.

  2. Используйте левый и правый SHIFT для управления единицами материи. Организуйте материю таким образом, чтобы произошла самая длинная цепная реакция. Чем длиннее цепочка реакций, тем больше очков получает ученый.

  3. Нажмите на единицу материи, чтобы начать реакцию.

  4. Вы выигрываете, если достигаете цели — указанного количества единиц материи, вступивших в реакцию. Единица материи считается вступившей в реакций, если она исчезает (уничтожается).

  5. Вы проигрываете, если попытки ученого закончились, а целевое количество реакций не достигнуто.

Я делал тактическую пошаговую игру, но получилась головоломка с элементами RPG. Что я пока НЕ ​​успел сделать:

  • Развитие материи. По замыслу автора, ученые должны открывать новые свойства материи. Такие как генерация новых единиц материи, уменьшение набранных очков, штрафная попытка ученого. Поэтому единицы материи окрашены в разные цвета. Таким образом, в рамках одного эксперимента материя меняется, открывая новые свойства, которые игрок должен выбрать.

  • Наследование свойств материи. Каждый последующий раунд должен начинаться с материи, уже наделенной некоторыми свойствами, которые игрок выбрал в предыдущем раунде.

Не шифт, а шифты :-) Если зажать левый - то при клике на материю, будет поворот налево. Правый шифт - соответтвенно, поворот направо. Можно сделать до 3-х поворотов, чтобы выстроить самую длинную цепочку реакций. За более длинные цепочки начисляется больше очков.

Why early access?

Despite the fact that the main part of the game mechanics and graphics are implemented, there are still moments in the game that need polishing before the game is considered complete. I would like to hear the opinion of players on the balance, fix critical bugs and make a smoother ending to the game. I would also like to complete the work on the free play mode, where there should be a leaderboard with scoring.

Blast your way through hordes of alien enemies, using your one bullet wisely.

Plot:

Neyku, nicknamed Screech, a daring daredevil pilot, lost everything: his home, his family, but not his half-brother, Kihonja. Kihonja, a kind but cowardly farmer, was left terminally ill, and their parents were enslaved, destined to die in toxic mines. Neyku’s rage boils, he vows revenge. Together with Kihonja, who supports him despite his illness, they take to the skies in their space fighter, to break through the blockade and challenge the tyrant in a suicidal mission.

День 4

Еще больше сдуваюсь. Сегодня даже без скриншотов.

Немного повозился там и сям по коду. Попытался сделать сбыт мяса более интересным. В целом - пустой день. Но я вообще не понимаю, кто работает в пятницу, когда в это время мужики едят мясо, пивом запивают и ничего не понимают? )))

День 3

Сегодня без гифок.

Опять поменял палитру игры. Все таки остановился в этот раз на более разнообразной из 16 цветов.

Теперь в штаб-квартире у мясников-контрабандистов есть немного мебели. Это что-то сай-файное, чтобы покупать улучшения. Стол, где мясо реализуется в игровую валюту для покупки улучшений. И выход в данж, где, собственно, мясо добывается.

Отрисовал второго подпольщика класса Химик. Он будет условным хиллером в пати.

И реализовал прокачку мясников. В игре будет не стандартная прокачка - опыт - левелап - статы выросли. А прокачка конкретной пассивки. Например, на увеличение здоровья. Чем выше процент прокачки способности. Тем больший профит она дает. Когда будет накоплено 100% опыта, можно будет выбрать следующий пассивную или активную способность. Чем-то напоминает навыки из WoT.

Вот такие дела :-) Что скажите? Что можно улучшить?

Надеюсь, прототип доставит положительные эмоции у игроков.

И надеюсь, что не нарушил регламент джема. Если уже видите какой-то криминал (не в игре, конечно, а в участии), то прошу сообщить.

День 2

Едем дальше.

Попробовал поменять палитру на более веселую и мясную. Но мне не очень нравится, что получается из 4-х цветных палитр. Как будто игра требует большего разнообразия в графике, потому что много разнообразных элементов. Позже еще попробую.

Сделал минимальный крафт. Мясо можно будет расходовать на получение денег или на прокачку героев.

А так же добавил еще одного героя, который по сюжету должен будет присоединиться к игроку после тестового забега.

Всем привет. Попробую принять участие в этом джеме. Хочу попробовать запрототипировать РПГ-самоигралку с элементами менеджмента ресурсов про чуваков из далекого будущего, которые тайно гоняют в подземелья, чтобы нелегально добывать запрещенное мясо монстров. В итоге они раскроют тайну, почему мясо было запрещено в мире будущего. Хотелки, как всегда, вселенские. Это уникальные персонажи-мясники. Разнообразная экипировка. Несколько биомов подземелья. Множество монстров и, соответственно, множество рецептов мясозаготовки. Автоматизация производства. Экономика игры на базе торговли мясопродукцией. Сокрытие теневого бизнеса от полиции мяса. И прочие-прочие вещи, которые в принципе невозможно реализовать. Но по факту, как обычно, что получится, то и получится.

Предполагаю, проект принимает сторону ~Космодесанта Императора~ Космо-рыцарей. Тут попробую ежедневно показывать прогресс в виде видео девлогов. Времени, конечно, крайне мало. Но в этом и плюс есть - максимум 6 ежедневных девлогов :-)

Собственно, сегодня удалось собрать саму простую генерацию подземелья из гексов и цикл обхода подземки

Позже создам страницу на итче, куда попробую заливать весь материал по игре.

Size. The game field is currently 840x484. Background objects can be smaller. They can be larger if we are talking about movement animations. Then only part of the huge space object in the background will be visible.

Format - png. It will either be one static image. Or a spritesheet with animation frames.

The game is currently planned to have 25 levels. I would like to have different backgrounds at different levels. But this is too much work for an indie solo developer. Therefore, I use as many backgrounds in the game as you give me.

Details:

  1. Definitely, the backgrounds should be single-bit. That is, either color or no color. Please watch the gameplay video or run the demo. See? Dark blue space and slightly lighter planets, a space station, and so on.
  2. Definitely, the backgrounds should be space-themed. Even if some object is not directly related to space, it should be stylized as such. For example, if we want to make an ancient Greek temple with columns and statues of gods, it should be on a platform with engines, under an atmospheric dome and with antennas. Or something like that.
  3. It is best to make small background objects with minimal animations. Size 128x128 or 256x256. And about 8 frames. I came to this during the development process. It is easiest to procedurally generate backgrounds for levels from such objects.

Environmental effects have been added to the game. For example, on some levels there will be a cosmic wind that affects the trajectory of the player’s ship. Perhaps later a similar effect will be added that affects opponents.

And also opponents with new mechanics have been tested - I generate zones that affect other ships. For now, these are space spiders that create a web. If the player gets into the web, then his movement speed is greatly slowed down. This creates dangerous situations when the player cannot normally dodge paths and rams. The web can (and should) be destroyed with your shots. A little later I will try to make the web burst if you use turbo. And also, of course, there is not enough animation of the bursting web. In general, the mechanics are interesting. After all, you can add generation of areas with different effects: acceleration of allies, immortality of allies, acid clouds, invisibility dome, etc.
