Octoburg: This track feels like a watery version of all the games that define my childhood! I am definitely a fan! I love the chord progression reminiscent of Dire Dire Docks and the watery pad you use with the plucky strings that add an air of lightness to it. My absolute favorite part, and in my opinion the best composed section, is the light and bouncy section at 1:11 to the end. The melody fits in so perfectly with the offbeat chords, the left-panned mid-range countermelody and the plucked bass. I think that thiis piece is also mixed exceptionally well too and seems game-ready!

Ink Shop: Straight from the beginning, the lack of background pad and added reverb informed me that we were now inside and the light pizzicato strings fit a fun and quirky shop theme very well. The bubble and squid squish noises are a nice touch that definitely make this feel like a shop that octopi would frequent!

Did I imagine the town?: Most definitely! Though I felt that this Octopus city felt more like a smaller town theme (with the apt name of Octoburg), I think I prefer the smalltown vibe you portray. I imagine a tranquil reef town with vast expanses of sea grass covering the sandy ocean floor amidst the aquamarine water as light rays dance around the town as small cute octopi are going about their days peacefully. The ink shop theme is a great touch to add a little more quirky personality to the town. Overall fantastic work and thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for these wonderful compliments.

It's a pretty amazing feeling to read such a detailed description of my own composition. Your analysis is both precise on the arrangement and relevant on the feeling I was trying to convey.

I just re-listened to Dire, Dire Docks by SM64 and it's crazy, I wasn't aware of the inspiration that this music had on mine. Bravo, you were even able to read my intentions that I hadn't seen myself :D

And your description of Octoburg is very evocative and I am very proud to have been able to create such an imagination with my modest creation.

Thanks again for all your kind words!
