Super cool and original concept !

The level design is pretty good, you did a great job introducing the mechanics gradually and then combining them.

The light flickering effect is visually cool, but it gets annoying when you actually restart the same level again and again, it slows the pacing of the game.

Overall that is a nice puzzle gaem and it got potensh !

Like it! Sounds and mechanic very interesting! Good work!

I really liked the sound effects in the game, they sounded like actual lights. The game is quite difficult and I found the controls were a bit finicky at times, nothing too bad but if you continue to work on the game I would suggest making them slightly more responsive. I personally managed to get to level 7 but didn't manage to complete it so perhaps you could make the game take a little longer before it gets hard as the difficultly curve increased quite quickly. Also so particle effects and sounds effects when jumping and landing could help the game to feel a lot more "juicy" and satisfying to play. These are only suggestions though. The game was well made and had a good and original concept which are increasingly hard to come by so well done!

Thanks a lot for the feedabck! I had plans to add most of your suggestion but not enough time unfortunately! Glad you liked it!

This is a great idea you have here! I really dig the graphics and the tone. The platforming is a bit too difficult for me, after the 20th death I felt frustrated and gave up on the 7th level as it didn't really feel like I was getting any closer or better. Besides that I think this could definitely be expanded upon into a bigger game. I really liked the use of the green lights which produce different results, really cool idea :D. Nice work!

This was a super refreshing take on the 'no lights' idea. I love that the lack of lighting didn't become 'feel your way round the dark', but instead, the light was actually an element of the puzzle. Many other games like this create difficulty with the darkness limiting what you can see, but this focussed more on the properties of lit things. I found it super cool that rotating lights and moving green lights worked, that must've taken a lot of painful programming to implement. I'm actually surprised that you didn't use them more, considering the interesting problems you could've made with them. So yeah, great game, I managed to finish it, but it was a bit tedious at times.

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback! And on the subject of moving lights, well I implemented them at the very last second meaning I couldn't make any more levels with them unfortunately. Glad you liked it!

This is a great concept!
The platforming is a bit too precise for my taste, I think shifting the focus to puzzle solving would make this game shine even more!

This is a really good and simple concept that's still very cool and well-done. Some of the level design is a bit messy (I stopped at Lv 7), but I still liked playing it and seeing all the cool ways this design can be used. Good job!

This was a really fun concept!  I just kinda feel like the way the lights flickered outside of the player's control made it harder to play.  It definitely seems like a deliberate asthetic choice, but when you suddenly can't see the platform you're trying to land on, it is not a very fun time!

Developer

You're competely right! I did chose to add the flickering lights because without the game seemed a little dull and empty but after reading all ou guys' comments I understand it was a mistake ;)

Creative, innovative platformer, the only double jump in light is neat but the green light takes the cake; mechanics wise the game is ingenious, level wise not so much, the scenes are too long with no checkpoints and with long transitions between deaths and even longer dialogues, check out games like Super Meat Boy that put you back in the game the second you die. Those blinking lights killed me most of the times, there is no feedback signaling when they will turn off and each jump is a gamble. Those little nuisanses aside the game is amazing and i recommend everyone to give it a try if you are into creative platformers.

Theme, in several forms, only one light, only one wall jump, only one double jump and only in the light.

Originality, the "only one light" concept has been thrown in several games but this iteration is unique in execution.

The concept and mechanics are very interesting and original ! Good job !

I'm surprised this has so few ratings...

Thank you very much

I like the concept, I've already played a game like yours, but you need to work on movement. Default unity movement isn't a good thing for platformers. I like your levels and some additional mechanics like green lite, and the fact that you tried to make a pretty neat difficulty and learning curve. Nonetheless, levels area quite trivial, and have some invisible light triggers (e.g. level 3). I understand why did you add blinking of lamps, nevertheless, it's redundant as light is a core mechanics in a puzzle game, blinking should be a predictable standalone mechanics.

Pretty interesting concept, the green light mechanic is actually really clever and has a lot of potential. I'm not too keen on the randomly switch lights between white and green, as the delay seems random and impossible to time, but it's usually not a problem in most cases. Other then that, this is quite a fun little game. Good job!

I loved the shadow part, and the moving green light level, the music is little repetitive.

Nice job with the game, loved it!

A really original and creative puzzle game. It mixes a bit of thinking and skill to finish it but a huge well done to the creator for this masterpiece! Anyway in my opinion it totally worthes all 5 stars ! (Am I the first one to have finished it btw?)

Developer

Yes you are! Congratulations and thanks for the review!

Just a side note : Nobody has completed the game yet to my knowledge so let me know me if you manage to complete the game  (Ps : It is possible you just need to think outside the box... :D )

Edit : Someone beat it! Too late!

Interesting game, couldn't get past level 5 :D

Developer

Thanks man! And if you want to try the next levels, in level 5 you juts need to double jump in the first light when its white (if it was there that you were stuck) :D Thank again!

Np! Thanks, the white light was the way to go.

really cool game! really liked the idea of light modifying player abilities

Developer

Thanks man!

Really cool game! Great sound and visuals. The concept is awesome and fits the theme very well. The pop ups that tell you what to do are a little annoying, but do serve their purpose I suppose. I struggled on level 7 quite a bit, so unfortunately I can't say I completed the game, but I liked what I played. Very nice.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for testing my game! I was going to add an option to disable the pop-ups but I didn't have enough time unfortunately :(

Pretty neat. The lighting effects were very pleasant, and your use of the theme was good.
