Great work, love the selection of music :) I see you used graphy too, I though the menu had animations (when I clicked credits) but it looks like it animated on start only xD. I would have liked a bit more room to move about on the boss fight but other than that the game feels good too play and the simple art is aesthetically pleasing !

Very interesting project! The art was simple, but really immersive and the music's mixed really well with the overall theme.

I just missed some way to recharge my health, since it's easy to make a simple wrong movement and loose a lot of health... I think it could be interesting if the sneeze damage had a little of vampirism in it. Recharging just a little bit of health for every hit that landed on an enemy. I don't think this would be too overpower since it's not that easy to land a lot of bullets on the enemies and it would encourage the player even more to attack with the sneeze.

I would also leave the sneeze direction for more time on screen, maybe even all the 10 seconds... Since the map is full of holes, the current 3 seconds made me play safe and slow. Because I couldn't tell if I would be in an impossible position when the sneeze direction appeared.

Overall it was a fun experience. Great tutorial and the difficulty felt right.

Really enjoyed this one.
I like the geometric art style, and the main mechanic is definitely a very neat idea.

I gave you a 5 on everything, your game is so cool it deserved it. Only tip I have is that I think you should close the path the player came from when he gets in the boss "arena".

Developer

Oh shoot, that's right XD
Thanks for reminding!

Incredibly-slick presentation and great gameplay made this a wonderful experience, which somehow took geometric shapes and made them adorable. I especially love the simple-but-effective visuals all around, with clearly-communicated targets and considered use of few effects to a great end.

Wonderful work. <3

Extremely well made gem for the bullet hell jam. Very polished gameplay and visual effects. Nice simple and minimalist art with a great color palette. Personally, web version is a little too easy for my taste, but it don't affect the fun at all. Great music selection as well.
Definitely one of the highlights from this jam, and the fact that was made by only one person in 7 days is incredible!

Best game I've seen from this jam! The visuals are bloomy and clean, great choice of music, and the sneezing mechanic is really clever since prevents you from simply camping in one spot for ages. Would have been nice for some rare health pick up, particularly on the last level where I died several times (first time I played the level I even died the same time as the boss!)

Developer(+1)

Yes - I was planning on doing health pickups as "fruits" on the orange trees, but unfortunately I didn't have the time for it and had to cut :/ Could have added that for the post jam update, but I mainly focused on balancing issues that time while still being faithful to the game's initial release and premise. If I consider this game to have a dedicated version and actually sell it in the future, expect that and many more fun things :) Thanks for the feedback!

Love this, its so clean and plays so well. I also explode and shoot out a load of green orbs when I sneeze irl.

Amazing and very polish game, the sneeze mechanic is great

Nice game. The lighting effects make it look very pretty. The sneezing every 10 seconds is an interesting way to use the theme.

The connections to the floor are a bit confusing, first time I walked on them I thoughter that there was a jump button or something.

This is so good! The music is well chosen, it fits perfectly, they are all bangers x) The sound design is really nice, shooting and sneezing feels so good! Would have been better to have more feedback when you get hit, it's not very clear. The mechanics are very creative and the level design is neat! Overall great game! Congrats!

Fun game and fun take on the theme as well, i like the use of lights it really adds to the atmosphere and pairs nicely with the minimalist artstyle, music is awesome and i'm not surprised, Newgrounds has some amazing stuff out there  i.m.o so it was a good choice licensing an artist from there ^^

i also like that this was more of a free roam movement game rather than a classic auto scroll shmup, if i'd have to nitpick i'd say the only negative point for me were the trianglular enemies that feel a bit eratic and hard to predict, other than that it's solid overall, simple to pickup and play and fun

Good job :)

The use of the theme was so good and the enemies were well designed with the exception of the triangle I hated those things because they moved so quickly they were hard to shoot.

This is probably my favorite use of the 10 second theme so far! Really fun. Really nice level design. Some bullets are too small but the large player hp pool made up for that. Nice job!

Submitted

i really liked the game but it was kinda hard for me.  there just too many small bullets and the player hitbox its just too big

Really great incorporation of the theme. I liked the visuals and the audio was really good. The tutorial is very well thought out. Had a lot of fun playing the game. Great job and great game!

Ha this is a very creative use of the theme. Great music and visuals, and fun gameplay.

Though I do like waterflame's music, I don't think it fit the game that well.

I do like the game though, the sneeze is certainly an interesting mechanic.

This is great! Feels good to play overall (though perhaps some enemies are too spongy) and the theme is very cleverly implemented. I love how the sneeze goes from a liability to an actual offensive move once you learn to control it, very nice! Only complaint is the post-sneeze shooting delay which feels very awkward, besides that it's really well done

Developer (1 edit)

Yes, this is a problem of Unity's input system that doesn't register the mouse hold action after temporarily disabling it on events such as sneezing/cutscenes. I'll be sure to fix it next version, thanks for the feedback :)

Great game, the sneeze mechanic is cool.

The only feedback I have is to maybe increase the contrast between the floor and the places where you can fall.

Also, maybe you can add platforming and puzzles to the world itself, that would be cool.
