Hey! I'm also trying to gain experience for game related stuff. I don't have the 'lot's of experience' you mentioned but I'm comfortable with Ren'Py  and choice based/branching story programming. I'm finishing up (programming/art) what will be my first published VN for a game jam that ends April 2nd.
