Love this game and I'm already rly attached to Sara, the interactions between her and the MC are super good, especially during the texting portions. This game has tons of potential, and can't wait to see more of it!

Interesting in the way that characters speak and think(MC) in a way that sounds like you're having a conversation with someone or would have those thoughts pop into your head in reality as the reader. It really helps in immersing yourself while reading when the dialogue and inner thoughts seem natural.

I personally also found the numerous choices rather thought-provoking - texting choices especially. On top of leading me to consider how people communicate with one another, it also emulates what I would think to be a very realistic situation - agonizing over what message to send to a girl you like, even if it would appear completely inconsequential to an outsider. Being able to understand the nuances of texting conversation and then properly conveying them while simultaneously offering agency over it implies that the author has an impressive in-depth knowledge on what they are writing about. Because there are so many opportunities to decide what to say specifically, it truly immerses the reader in the neurotic mindset of the story's protagonist - this further reinforces my impression that the author either has done some deep research for the sake of realism, is able to write what they think this kind of character would say or think straight from their own imagination(!), or is writing from their own personal experience - which would truly make this something worth reading in my opinion. (My bets are on the lattermost) This really leads me to get the impression the creator has thought a lot about his characters. Even though there may only be two, these two characters are intended to have profoundly more depth than what you'd normally come across in similar games in this vein.

I think that most people would not give it a second thought, but the animations that were added to the game also give it a distinctive flair. I've found that similar type games are almost completely barebone plotwise and just rush to the H-scenes. This game is focusing on the actual character interactions beforehand and it was easy for me to tell the author is trying to make something they actually want to make right when that drinking animation started playing. Things like these are normally not even considered in similar type games from my observations and because the author took the time to make multiple smooth animations, it is crystal clear to me that they are not making this game just for a quick buck, but to learn and create something to be proud of.  (Especially after reading the about me - I get the impression all of the more technical skills were learned from the ground up)

The game may short, but I like to think I can see the intent behind it rather well. There's already so much to say at v0.3 that when this is released as a final product I'm sure it will be a masterpiece. I'm hoping for full voicing.

Really cute game! im surprised how realistic the writing is I feel like I can see myself in MC a bit when I was in high school and overthinking everything. Just really wish the game was a bit longer - looking forward to the next updates!! ^^

Very cute story. Images got significantly better with the release of v0.3, plus there are some cool animations to look out for! Rather than a typical VN's storytelling, it's much closer to something like looking directly into the MCs head. That gives it a unique charm that I don't think I've seen anywhere else. I've only seen one ending so far, so I'll definitely have to play it again to see what the other options have in store!

I'm already growing very fond of Sara.

Played your game. I really liked it! Great writing. I want to know what happens next. I hope you continue to move forward with it. Do you have a patreon page? Thanks!

Thank you so much! And I plan to keep the scope relatively small and finish it soon~

Yup, I do! I removed it off my page because I was feeling self conscious about the quality I had ;-; but you can find it here!

Not a bad start. The MC thoughts fits for a boy living through a crush, even some of them made me laugh a bit. Most of the game text are the boy thoughts, which makes the game more of a monologue, especially with the lack of other enviroments that could complement his thoughts. It being a monologue is not a bad thing at all since it is a VN but it could use some other environments to improve immersion(real like cafeteria, infirmary, etc or imaginary given the boy thoughts). The plot seems promising and the OST fulfills its role adequately. Now this is more of my personal thinking and it can be considered as a flaw or as a narrative tool: the style of writing of the boy thoughts sometimes lack of grammatical resources(capital letters and ellipsis mostly). I can't tell if this is a writing flaw or its made on purpose since those are the thoughts of a boy. Anyway, at least I would suggest using ** when refering to actions such as: *sigh* to facilitate reading. Despite that, the game has potential to be worthwile, wish best to you.

BTW, when choosing for the "coward" route, I got the following error:

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

While running game code:

File "game/story/death.rpy", line 301, in script

    jump theend

ScriptError: could not find label 'theend'.

Thanks for the feedback!

I agree completely with the idea that the game needs other environments. I think for the way the game has been written it's a little too late to retroactively update but I plan to have more dynamic scenes and character interaction as the game progresses.

And I have gotten some flack from friends of mine for the way the boy writes/thinks/types haha. It is on purpose, and I am very aware that they're incorrect XD. I like the suggestion of *sigh* to show it's an action rather than a thought. I'll test that out when I read it myself and/or with the next release!

As for that bug, I've just fixed it! A silly oversight while refactoring, really appreciate you pointing it out~
