If I have to estimate the whole game in objective I'll give it 9/10, both its writing and drawing style are special, sentences in this game are so simple but affecting. Through they're animals, the story is even more credible than human-character-novels. Their relationship warms your heart and gives you courage to face tragedies in your real life.

However, as a fan of Mike × Robert, I must say I was suffering from trauma when I had played day5. (Maybe my depression is part of reasons)Even though I had finished day6 and 7 of the game then, I was not feel better, till now I'm not dare to play game again.
The argument between Robert and Mike makes my mental hurts. I had cried for a long time. When I first started game, I decided to choose Mike-line of the story, half random, another because I like his look. Then with the game continue, the story about him made me love him. He's not punctilious offen, but also can be so regardful to Robert in many things.
My main opinion is, the argument between Robert and Mike was fit in other character-line of the game, but can be a huge disappointment for players who choose to cultivate feelings with Mike as only one. We witnessed them slowly going closer to each other, their relationship shouldn't shutdown accidentally by Robert's short mad time. I wish you can rewrite the argument (including day5,6) in a special (more kindly) way, only for Mike-line of the game.
PS: Why I didn't talk about Jacob? Haha, maybe because I once had a boyfriend, too. I can feel Robert, once you had looked or listened something had connection with him, the memories rushed in to your mind, broke you down.

I am genuinely sorry to hear that that scene kind of soured your experience. The warning for mature subjects refer to moments like that one, and we knew it could be a tough read for some people.
I understand where your thoughts are coming from, but I believe the reactions of that day wouldn't change from any of the characters, no matter who you have more affinity with. That being said, wounds don't close so quickly, so I promise they'll have more serious but tender conversations about what happened in his future update ^^ Expect a few bumps here and there, though, communicating sometimes is hard. Not impossible, just hard.
Overall, all I can promise is that the final result will show a positive outlook of everything, since that was always the aim of this VN <3
