When I click download there's nothing like a password, but if it's a page that's has some kind of paying stuff you just gotta click on "no thanks, just take me to the downloads" and it will go to two download options, just download the one that's for your device, sadly it doesn't work on ios
See if there's another gacha club installed and check if you have enough storage space or if there isn't anything preventing you from downloading it like Google play protect or "install unknown apps"

If it tells you to update it, then it means it won't download unless you delete Gacha Club. SpaceTea said you have to delete Gacha Club, in order to download the mod.
