I think this game has a cool concept, and I am intrigued to see where you take it.

I found it difficult to figure out what I was supposed to do at first. For example, I struggled to open the market/mayor menu after sailing to a port. I pressed random keys for like two mins before I tried clicking the button. Similarly, it took me a while to find the boat upgrade menu. I did click the logo, but it looks like you have to click a specific part of it.

It would be great if you put more explanation into the controls and menus in the description. It would be even better if the instructions were part of the game. It would also be good if the menus could be opened with button presses as well as mouse clicks.

I thought the menus worked well. I tried to find bugs, but they seem pretty solid.

I'll come back for another play in a few weeks.

Cheers,

Cain

Hi Cain,

First of all, I'm glad that you liked the game. I am really flattered with your comments. These are all really helpful and constructive suggestions. Definetely, I'll take them into account in the upcoming changes. There are some ideas about using "Enter" and "Escape" keys, also arrow keys for menus. Providing a proper menu for all the game settings, key assignments and etc. is another topic that I want to implement.

These comments make me really encouraged and motivated to do more. Thank you so much. Stay tuned for next phases. Cheers!

this game is fun if a bit bare, but it's under development so to be expected. The one thing I did notice is that the market is very easy to manipulate. I did this by buying all the books from the north/south town then selling to the other and when the prices update reversing it, this would be fine if the price didn't change as much when supply is high/low as I was buying books for 1-5 and selling them for 100, or in other words the main thing the market needs to fluctuate less die too the players purchases. But all in all it's a fun game and I'm looking forward to more.

Thank you so much for your comment. As you mentioned, game is still under development and to be honest, I didn't pay attention to balance it yet. Right now, my main focus is implementing the main mechanics and then I will focus on balancing. Market mechanics are not fully implemented yet. I hope when the market system is fully functional, it will be much more satisfying and balanced. Again thank you so much for your comment, I am glad you liked the game overall.
