Hey bro great game! It is pretty good for a first game.
A few ideas:
- Maybe you could add a sound when you get hit just so you can know, instead of just the flash.
- If there was some sort of upgrade system that would be great because it takes a while to kill even the small enemies. I'm not sure if that is too complex but its just a suggestion.
Other than that I think its a great first game. The music is good and it has cool art style. I also like the fact that the ship sprite changes when you move left and right.

i liked the old retro game theme which took me back in the day
