Is there a way to reupload it or revert the process? I don't care about the rating, what makes me sad is that I made the game for this jam and also most likely lost all the comments, suggestions  and feedback from the community  and now I can't see them anymore :(.

please help

Is this a problem of itch.io or the webplayer?

I made an online multiplayer browser game for the jam: https://itch.io/jam/lowrezjam-2020/rate/731745

So far the reception has been good, save for one thing: it's hard to get a taste of the multiplayer action with only a few players playing per day.

Now, I can already hear you saying "duh, it's a game jam game. what were the devs thinking?"

And I'm hear to tell ya, not much! I was more focused on if I could and never stopped to think if I should. haha

BUT! If anyone is interested in trying out the game and wants to get the full-ish (it's a prototype after all :P ) experience, drop a line and let's figure out a time to play this weekend!

I'll be on here testing submissions this evening and Saturday evening/night (from central US as far as timezone goes here), just reach out!

Are people making big sprites and then having them shrunk down by a filter? Are people making games in a higher resolution and then forcing them into a 64x64 frame? Just curious. It's an odd trend.

I've looked at the submission rules a few times and didn't see the answer.

What are the the rules around font and text? For the last day or so I've been struggling to have text display legibly at a 64x64 resolution and scaled up. Looking around at other submissions it almost seems like font isn't subject to the 64x64 requirement as long as it's not being used in a cheeky way e.g. using font as a character in the game.

Can anyone give me some guidance?

Some players complained about a slow frame-rate and also wanted to see what the non-pixelized game looked like.  I wanted to verify if they were getting the actual frame-rate, or if they were confused by the stuttering camera effect.

first of all - this is not trying to be cheeky and getting around the restrictions - I just want to know what is possible.

In the FAQ it is said that:

Can I use screen effects like CRT or scanlines that may exceed the actual 64x64 limit? YES! But, make sure it's optional and that the game itself is 64x64 before effects.

Now, I am planning on making a game in unity, but I was thinking whether it would be allowed to have the game running on a virtual monitor in a scene in a kids room or something - all pretty much static and definitely not part of the game.

If this is allowed, and with the above question about CRT / scanlines being outside, lets say there is a sceenflash, could that illuminate the whole scene and not just the 64x64?

Thanks!

If I get it right, I can use any graphics I'd like, but it must be rendered at 64x64 or less. So can I use for example 4K textures and then write a shader that make screen only 64x64 or do I have to use textures that are 64x64 and less? What do I mean: is "64x64 limit" applying JUST on screen, JUST on art or on both? Probably silly question but I want to be sure.

Thanks.
