On Steam it was suggested to update the bundled SDL2 library with a newer one provided by flibitijibibo: https://steamcommunity.com/app/504230/discussions/4/4336474207083138770

Unfortunately his link doesn’t work anymore, but it turns out that the issue is fixed by just removing the bundled SDL2 lib entirely and instead letting the game use native libraries (sdl3 with sdl2-compat).

I was gonna leave a comment on that Steam forum thread, but I don’t own the game on Steam, so I’m writing a post here instead. :)

I just installed the game on Mac and it will not register any controller inputs. Initially it appears as if there is a controller paired, showing the Xbox style "A" button icon at the start of the game, but it will not read any inputs I have. If I press a key on the keyboard, I can not get the controller icon to reappear. I am using an Xbox series X controller. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

My error log is in Portuguese since I'm a Brazillian and my notebook does not allow me to configure a different exhibition language (apparently my version of Windows 11 Home just doesn't support it?) but the error message is consistently this one:

This caused the heart acquired animation to play as normal, but instead of completing the level, I was moved back to the start of the room as if I had died or collected a cassette tape. Moving back to the final area, the heart was gone. Quitting to the menu showed the level never being cleared.. 

Fixed by replaying the end of the mission and dashing into the heart normally.

I cannot determine the precise sequence to cause it, but there seems to either be a time or position requirement. It happens in at least the first two rooms of Chasm, but the first room only after spending a certain amount of time in either the checkpoint or the whole level. Crossing the majority of the room by first getting to the top ledge then doing an extended hyper works and pausing either after the halfway point of the room (~0:02) or on the far ledge for the first room consistently crashes.  This crash does not appear to affect any other checkpoint in Forsaken City A-side, or any other A-side at all (I have not tested Chapter 1b, or levels past chapter 3, but no crash occurs at any point in start or crossing or in any part of chapter 2 or 3). 

In the case that the system hardfreezes (which I believe to caused by the game, possibly indirectly), no inputs at all cause the computer to respond and a forced shutdown is required. In the cases that the game freezes, it causes considerable lag and also prevents other processes from enumerating processes (preventing, among other things, htop or killall), it also seemed to ignore all attempts to terminate the program (including during shutdown when the window persisted past the Desktop Manager stopping, and possibly into when it should have recieved both SIGTERM and SIGKILL(???)).

I got the game on Epic and ran it on Windows (10). I never had any issue playing through it for as far as I remember.

Recently I launched a new run and played through the first levels. At the end of a chapter it crashed. I didn't mind as I planned to stop there for this night.
Right now I played through the Station Celeste level, and at the end of it the game crashed. As I was not done yet I tried to launch it, but no luck: the game won't stop loading, and eventually I have to close it.

My guess would be that there is an issue with one of the textures in the menu of level selection.

I've just downloaded Celeste, and there is a bug in the menus... When i'm in the game, i press escape to open the pause menu, and every button does not react when i click on them, they just do their animation, and nothing happens... So i cannot save, i cannot open the options etc...

I've tried to create a new save, but it does the same...

For instance, when I set the "confirm" key to O, upon restarting the game, the prompt on the title screen has changed to R. (qwerty O is at the same location as dvorak R), and then if I open the settings menu whatsoever, even if I do not open the keyboard configuration menu, it changes to P (qwerty R is dvorak P), and then again, it changes to L (qwerty P is dvorak L).

I appreciate the idea that Celeste wants to handle Dvorak keyboard layouts, but I have found this rather frustrating.

The only way I can lauch the game is by executing the application directly on the winrar folder. In this way I can play the game normaly, but it does not save. The Linux zipfile said the same thing, and the windows file opens up, but only in file form without offering a notification for installation. The cutscene goes just fine until the part where you're supposed to dash to (presumably) break him out of the cave. It freezes with the dash arrow in place and the game stops accepting input.

I'm playing on Windows 10 with an X-Box 360 controller and have Assist Mode on with Dash Assist enabled

EDIT: I turned off Dash Assist and was able to complete the cutscene, it seems there's an issue with Dash Assist there

As soon as she falls or the powerup expires it goes back to normal. No issues with the normal version of the game but switched to OpenGL to support my USB controller.

Anyway, whenever I play the game full screen, there are red lines all over the screen that look like they're outlining some (but not all) of the pixels in the game's graphic.  In fact, it seems like the lines happen if I play with any display scaling other than 4x or 6x; if I set it to one of those two in the game's settings, the lines go away, but at full screen (which is 1440p for me) or any other scale, they consistently appear.  Any idea what might be going on?  Image attached for reference.
