Pretty Good game! Though, Why no color?

Good game

(1 edit)

Ok Fine!

This morning I was searching for a Classroom Pack for a small animation.. found nothing but paid assets

Just saw your message on Brackeys Discord...

I will use this for my next project.. and for the Chemistry Lab.. go ahead. We will surely need it in our next project!

Thanks!

EDIT: Will rate after trying out soon!

Great Graphics, and Nice gameplay, But I was only able to make it upto 5 bugs... And you have some nice music (made it yourself ??)

Another thing, I did not affect the gameplay, I was able to play the whole game without a single issue, but here's a console error I got:

Nice work anyways!

That weird physics is the only major dificulty in the whole game... You need to gain some speed in order to jump higher and farther.

Thanks for the Portal (I made it to look the coolest I could in last days...). And the Aura effect too ??

Audio, Music, these are the things that I missed... Sorry for that.

Thanks for rating and trying it out. Rated yours too.

Amazing art and Soundtrack, really loved the gameplay. The choice b/w three weapons is absolutely nice. Though I liked the first one (the biting thing). Great work!

And how's my game?

Really? The jumping mechanism may had troubled you. Anyways, thanks for trying it out.

btw, Your game was nice and interesting. And with the level editor you included, we can play it our friends. Thanks!

Thanks!, the jumping control, right? It was the only difficulty in the game. One is supposed to use momentum , i.e., moving with some velocity and then jumping will actually make you jump longer and higher... that's the trick.

Also, you can use your Aura shield (what you get in the end of level 2) to jump on the coins...

Yes, all of them are self made art, and I made and animated them for the first time. Thanks.

Oh! sorry for late reply, was busy yesterday.

Yes, you actually won. So, how much time, attempts did it take, or after how many times you bumped into a bug? How long did it take you to understand the controls?

Thanks for trying it out...

Well designed puzzles,  nice game mechanics. It sometimes really takes hard thinking to judge where to place things in order to make the level work. Well done.

And how's my game, please rate it and share a screenshot if you happen to win on this thread:  https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2021/topic/1834539/who-can-save-the-land-of-monochr...

Hey, got some time to play yours this evening. Amazing game. I rated too. And about my scores...

This was my real first attempt.

And the highest I was able to reach...

Amazing game, again. After 6970, I tried again and again but was not able to go any higher.

Another thing... I haven't tried pyxel yet, but the code structure looks similar to that of pygame... I am interested in improving the game after the jam ends... (Got a new thing to learn)

And how's my game: Here is the challenge thread I had created before https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2021/topic/1834539/who-can-save-the-land-of-monochr...

Thanks.

Nice engaging game. The art was very good as compared to music. But the Music was nice to listen anyways... Was really lost in the game for a moment... After all, great work.

Oh! Thanks and Great. Who's up next ???

Thanks very much... Your game was great too.

Hello everyone, had to create a new topic as the rating's near end but I only got 6 of them so far...

My game: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2021/rate/1300609

But what I have concluded from my friends, who play tested the game pre-release and from people who played my game, is that reaching amd defeating the boss bug in my game is not easy. Only one of the players here managed to defeat the boss. Please try my game and let me know how is it?

Thanks

Nice game, I really liked the way you made the main menu. Gameplay and the base story were good too. Thanks

And how's mine ???

Will play and rate yours this afternoon, how's mine: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2021/rate/130060

Followed by mistake?

Thanks for following me. And I am from, Bihar...

Guessed you are from India by your name. From where in India ???

Your game's not too hard, but the speed of jumping is something I was not able to get initially, but now it feels normal.

Thanks.

Thanks very much for trying it out... The jumping mechanism is the only difficulty in the game.

Thanks.

Nice, I commented on the submissions page

Great game, guess it's your first time (just like me). The Idea of making health and speed/jump height inversely proportional is fun, I liked it. but the starting jumping speed confused me for a little bit, but after that, I managed it. My High Score is 300. And you made it in Python (pygame), that's another great point.

And how's my game ???

(Another thing, are you from India ?)

The game's nice. Camera and Player Movement was great. Art and Music, they were just awesome. The puzzle was also challenging, but not unsolvable (though it took me some time to figure out the puzzle at a point). As pointed out by one of the commenters on the game page, it would be nice to have a solid hint that player needs to collect all the coins before proceeding, otherwise people like me will continue playing 3-4 times before knowing that the puzzle is really repeating...  Otherwise amazing  work...

And how's my game ???

Thanks.

Though game does seems to be incomplete (and strictly speaking, it is), but what I liked most is the art and the music (which I wanted to ask, who composed it, you yourself?).

You are doing great... Keep learning and going ahead.

Thanks (and how's my game ???)

Already rated, nice game, thanks!

Nice gameplay and audio. The restricted view area adds extra suspense to the game.

Thanks very much.  About this character, I made and animated it myself, for the first time. And I was unable to compose music and sound effects on time, and don't know how to do it too. Thanks, and your game is awesome too.

Here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2021/rate/1300609

Sure, you can new builds or version updates after submission too. I uploaded webGL build and windows build version updates recently.

Hey, Thanks! Movement during jump??, that is the only difficulty in the game. If you were to move in air, then you could easily jump on the platforms and dodge those bugs. You may have to gain enough momentum to jump on higher platforms. Though you liked my game, Thanks.

And your game is great too.

Thanks!

Thanks for playing. Your game is great too. I shared it with my friends also. Did you manage to find all the controls, especially about the camera zoom controlling Z key ??

Nice Player controls and level design. Good work!

A simple and nice game. And a good theme interpretation too.

Thanks very much for trying out my game. This is my first ever game jam, and you are the first person who is playing my game whom I didn't ask to play directly...

Did you found that the Z key was used for something,  two of my friends whom I asked for play testing didn't.

And there was I bug in the Aura, that when Aura is totally finished, it won't replenish in certain scenarios, and you are stuck in the aura and you can't jump, forever... (didn't you encountered it ???)

I just fixed and uploaded it though (v1.0.2)

Tried your game too, and the first battle is too complicated and difficult, as you said. But overall the game and further gameplay is a fun. I voted your game too.

And for your query on the sound of the game, the truth is that I was unable to compose songs for the game (I didn't make any songs ever). I asked some musicians here, but in the last few days, and they said it's too late. Then I decided to make the plot somewhere in space (and hence the gravity is too weak too). But all the art was made by me, and I made and animated the Main Character and the Bugs, all by myself, for the first time.

Thanks again.

I have changed some code too (some bug fixes and minor updates). Am I allowed to push the changes to the github repo?

I am late but here is mine: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2021/rate/1300609

Hello there, I have already submitted my game, but in the last minute, I could only build and upload for windows. Can I upload an WebGL build now after the submissions are over without disqualifying or breaking any rules (and also if in any case I update the github releases and/or code) ???

Thanks
