It was pretty cool to see a reinvention of such a classic game :3 I found it fairly relaxing! I like patterns and play a lot of rhythm games myself, and while this isn't the same as a rhythm game, it has that same sorta soothing effect on me, haha. The art is cool too!

I noticed you said in another comment that you have worked on an update to include a button for the player to speed up the audio sequence, which would be really handy cos after I got past 20 I was finding it a little difficult to keep concentrating during the wait. The speed up will add more tension though :D

That's a neat take on the original game.  Later rounds would be less tedious if the game naturally sped up after each round, cause it becomes more of a test of patience rather than a test of memory.

Thanks for playing! I'm just waiting for the jam to end to upload a new build, that will give the player an option to speed up the sounds. These tedious rounds are a real problem, and I hope this new feature fixes that. :)

This is a neat idea, and the execution (especially the pixel art and the spooky sounds) is really good.

I would say that from a gameplay POV once I finally made a mistake on round 12 I wasn't in a rush to dive back in just because of how slow it is. I would love to see a version that gets faster and faster the first few rounds, to a point where it feels fairly breezy to fail and try again, and has a more arcadey vibe to match the really cool art.

And I totally agree with you and other players who also felt that the pacing feels slow at higher levels. Damn, I'm punishing the players who play well! lol

To fix this (or at least try), I just worked on an update to insert a button that the player can press to speed up the audio sequence. As soon as the jam is over I will post this build. And some spooky audios ended up getting funny, I liked that!

I think the visuals are super creative and the Quality of Life features that you've added (such as two languages and a Light Mode option) really go a long way when it comes to jam games. Although the core gameplay is a bit shallow, given the fact that I think we've all played Simon Says a few times before. Excellent work on everything else, though.

I really like the concept! Also, the visuals looks really attractive. Maybe some more added sense of progression, like the night getting darker or story pop-ups, could've helped to keep the player engaged for a longer period of time, but the game, and the idea it focusses on, are really fun as it is! Great job!

I like it! This is a really cool idea, I've been playing around with audio games for a while and this is the perfect way to do it! Getting people paying attention to stereo panning is genius. When the game gets farther along, I found that I got a  little bored listening to all the sounds, I wonder if there could be an option for speeding them up, or skipping to the new sound? Either way, cool idea and great execution! I especially like the breathing animation on the background sky.

I'm really glad you liked the "breathing sky", this was something that came up when the game was almost finished, just to try to break the monotony of listening to the long sequences. I loved your suggestion to add an option to speed up the sounds, I will definitely work on that for a future build, when the jam ends.
