Runaway

How does it fit the theme?
As I composed this piece, I imagined a character in the midst of their escape from a dark, painful, and/or regretful past. As they seek to leave their former life behind, they may find themselves in a physically and/or mentally dark and somber place as they sort through their own lost past. The piece is melancholy, but it also carries a wave of hope. Even on the darkest of never-ending paths, a clearing will appear and the sun will rise on a brighter future.

Nice ambience, very dreamy, somewhat sad but not all too depressing either.  I like the sting lines, very expressive. You have some nice chord changes there, too. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful work. Love the vibraphone. I really like how minimal it opens, giving it time to breathe. It gives it an almost meditative quality. Really nice when then the strings slowly come in. The music makes me feel like I'm in a small hot spring somewhere on a hill overlooking a beautiful glade after having overcome hardship during the quest. It's so tranquil; but with a hint of sadness.

I really like how you kept introducing new things to the soundtrack. You were very gentle in guiding us from sound to sound. This made the soundtrack very easy to listen to, but kept it interesting. This one is going on my playlist.

Very well done.

Very relaxing and nice varieties in the orchestration (solo strings, strings, chromatic Percussion). Nice combination!!

Really relaxing! As another has said, I think adding more texture layers would be beneficial throughout the track, maybe some ambient synths or something.

Beautiful opening-- this vibraphone part reminds me so slightly of Another Fall, Another Spring, one of my favorite pieces.

These instruments are really beautiful and sound nicely realistic.

The music never feels repetitive to me, and I enjoyed hearing it evolve. I would have loved a more dramatic change in timbre at some point-- maybe another couple of instruments would have complemented this track nicely.

Still beautiful, through and through! I enjoyed the glimmer of hope at the ending-- you conveyed the emotions of this piece very well.
