It was a very satisfying to use the hook while in mid air! I wasted all my bullets in the start because I didn't notice I had ammo xD But I managed to reach the top! :) Very cool game!

Love the look and feel of this game, music was awesome too sfx could be better but overall its an awesome game and a top contender!

Impressive 2.5d visuals and music, especially for a jam game. The one thing I could say that you could add is a way to drop through the platforms.

Fun and challenging game. Really impressive for just a weekend jam, great work!

this is a nice quick little game, with some great visuals and a nice soundtrack! actually took me a minute to realize that it was beatable. at first i thought it was just a, “get score, stay warm” sort of deal

i see in one of the other comments here that there were performance issues, so i’ll just add that at least here in safari on macOS there were no issues, much smoother here than games done with your earlier workflow.

fell through the floor though lol

i literally don't know how thats possible. The floor is a huge cube. Well done.

Wow. All those mechanics in just one jam with all those models, animations, sounds, etc.? RESPECT! And especially for a one person team. Damn. This is really tough. So far I cannot say much against the game. The only point is the performance. But again, only three days. Damn. Nice job, what else to say?

Don't know how much you know about performance optimization. At least I THINK that there are performance issues. Also it could be, that you wanted to make it feel a bit lacky.

If you allow me, I would shoot into the blue and try to help improving it a little bit.

- Are UI canvases, which are not shown, only hidden or comletely deactivated? Only hiding them by bringing transparency to 100% would not stop the renderer from drawing them. Deactivating the underlying object or component might help.

- Do the assets contain a lot of vertices? Reducing the vertex count can help A LOT by improving performance and raising FPS rate.

- How many colliders are set onto the objects? Sometimes, we forget to remove colliders from objects, which don't them. But if we do, we provide calculation time for the CPU for "the important" stuff.

- Which collider types are used? We tend to use Polygon/Mesh Colliders (2D/3D) on complex objects. But most of the time, they are not better than simple circle Circle/Sphere or Box Colliders. Using them instead of Mesh collider spares out a LOT of performance.

Hope something could help you. But again: Great job. Completing all that stuff in only three days is a MASSIVE achievement.

I'm sorry you had performance issues. But all of the possible reasons you listed are not it.

I'm using a render pipeline called Pro Pixelizer and this is my first time using it. It may turn out that it's not well suited for WebGL games in which case I'll just provide a Windows download as an alternative in future.

awesome game! I like the art and the exceptionally fluid animations, the mechanics are straightforward and easy to understand,  I liked the upgrades when the player comes back to base camp to warm up,  which is appropriate to the theme and limitation. This has good replay value, overall,  I enjoyed playing this one! congratulations! keep it up!

I really like the artstyle and the music! Everything worked and was fun to play but It might of been a little to easy. I was able to just jump up to the top of the mountain really quickly with only a few upgrades.

I really liked the grappling mechanic, it was very smooth and felt good to pull up to new platforms. I found that the timer was really unforgiving though, and the number of snow particles made it hard to look at the game screen for very long.

Update:
Snow reduced from 1000 to 100
Initial Freeze Timer increased from 15 to 30

Very unique art style! I felt like the freezing timer is a bit short tho, you have to pick your upgrades wisely to survive. The character animations are really cute, especially when climbing a ledge. I do have to mention tho that the amount of snow particles is very irritating, its hard to see your mouse pointer.

Wow, this game is a blast! I particularly loved the 3D character, it was so well done and looked great in the environment. The upgrades were a great touch, it gave me something to work towards and made the game even more fun. It's definitely got a cool arcade feel to it. The only thing that was a bit tricky was seeing the upgrade UI screen with the snow in front, but other than that, it's all good. And I have to say, the grapple mechanic is always a favorite of mine and it works really well in this game. Great job!

Hello, a pretty good idea for a game. I don't know about others, but I liked the game, there is something unique here
