Talk about Juice! Fun, easy to understand and very well made!

Definitely a simple but well polished game. It was fun, but it would have been nice to have a bit more variety as time went on. The portals are an interesting idea, but it seems like just spamming bullets into them just kills everything with all the bouncing. Overall though this game had a lot of juice for a jam game, so it was still an enjoyable, if short, experience.

Great little arcade game, was super fun! Had a super hexagon feel with the clean particles and vibrant screen shake. I wish perhaps there was a custom mouse cursor as I found it hard to see where I was aiming at times, but otherwise was a blast! Well done

Simple and stylish. This is a great example of how audio and particles can make feedback satisfying without the use of exceptionally complex visuals: The clean geometric look combined with the tube-TV filter makes for a very pleasent audio/visual presentation.

A slider to tune the screen-shake would be an appreciated feature, as well as the difficulty scaling up over time, but I'm aware that time permitted these features to be left out.

Regardless, excellent work!

didn't find a very good use for the portals as shooting them myself is just fine. Game is fun nonetheless though, good job!

Awesome work! Love how polished the game feels. It really makes you want to keep playing! There were some cool moments with the portals coming in clutch to save the day. I didn't really think about the portals much, but I can see if someone gets good at the game they could plan to use them to their advantage.

Great game! I liked the feel of the mechanics. it was great that the "room" moved and i thought that it was cool, that the sides of the triangle could be used to move bullets! Cool Idea. The sound design was also very nice.

A really nice and simple game, love the music and sfx. The bullet portals go really well with the bounce mechanic, though I think it would be more fun and chaotic if the bullets could keep the angle of momentum when exiting a portal, instead of just traveling perpendicular to the portal they came out of. All in all a really nice result considering it went form a puzzle game to a top down shooter arcade game.

Fun game! The feedback was top-notch, and simple sprites with post-processing always look amazing. I found that after some time I had more fun shooting every bullet through a portal, and then just pushing the bullet towards the enemy with my character, than shooting them directly. The game would've been even better if it got harder and more hectic over time, but as I've read, you had very little time for the mechanics. One nitpick: I think the screen shake was a bit much at times, especially with a lot of projectiles. Once again, well done! :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with you about the screen shake.

Good use of the URP in Unity, I love the arcade feel of the game and even if it was super simple, I was enjoying myself playing it. I would've like the game to get a bit harder with time. Right now I can go to 100000 points if I have the time. Also, there should be other power-ups than health, you have a bullet system on the side that you could use to give the player one more bullet slot. Apart from that. Good job, it felt really good to play!

Thanks for the feedback! I am really happy that you liked my game. I wanted to add all the mechanics that you named, but since all the mechanics of the game were made in the last 13 hours of the jam, I had no time to implement them. Also, I used built-in render pipeline instead of URP because 2D lights weren’t fitting my game very well, and built in post processing stack is more versatile than the one in URP.

Wait, is there a non-URP post processing stack??

Developer(+2)

There is an old post-processing stack (which is usually called post processing stack v2) that was made before URP and HDRP were released. This stack provides a little bit less features than HDRP stack, but it provides some very important features that URP stack doesn’t have (because URP is made for low-end devices). But URP and HDRP stacks have more color correction features. I prefer built-in stack because its quality is pretty much similar to HDRP stack, but its easy to use. That is really interesting! Would you be willing to share your Source Code/Project?

Developer

No, because these things are very easy to add and there are tons of tutorials about them on youtube.
