Wow that's very clever and cool. I'm not sure I can say anything that hasn't already been said, but it's just beautiful.

Huge scope for a game jam! Congrats on pulling it off, there's so many elements at play, but it's still very enjoyable. The graphics are also really charming. I will defeinitely be on the lookout for the post jam version of this :)

Very nice idea, so many mechanics, cute graphics and matching music/sounds!

I just beat my record: Completed 19 levels in arcade mode.

very good idea i would never would have tought of that would be amazing for a mobile game i would buy it

Nice puzzle game, with some quite challenging levels. The graphics, style and audio all come together quite well. My only criticism was a lot of new stuff kept appearing without sufficient explanation, but I figured it out by trial and error.

As a side note: The loading system seems to not work well on MacOS, often crashing and being very slow. But I won't hold that against you, just Godot 4 things!

Developer

Thanks for playing. I wish I better understood the internals of Godot and especially how it works with Mac on Browsers, so I could prevent those very long load times.

It works flawlessly on Windows, so I wouldn't worry :)

Fun game with a lot of variation both on level difficulty and unit behaviour! The soundtrack was a really cool element as well, very well done!

I really liked the difficulty progression. Visuals and sound are well mixed :)

I love puzzle games and this had all the elements I look for in one. A good ramp up in difficulty - starting low and introducing new items periodically. The graphics and sound choices worked well together. Only sadness was it finished too soon!

A very nice experience. The game feels polished and accessible, and the idea of a reverse lane-based tower defence game is quite original. I wished that the game had more puzzle levels, as there many types of enemies and good mechanics that I think don't get explored that much, despite being well executed. I liked a lot the design and the general art direction of the game. Great game overall, good job!

I finished the first 6 levels, and then I saw there was an arcade mode which was pretty cool. Felt like there was multiple solutions for the first 6 levels, and some felt really trivial. The game had a solid direction with music, art, and design so great job to the team!

Fun and user-friendly game! I like the artwork the most.

There is much to like here. The art, the music, the mechanics, the design,.. it is a very well rounded game with a lot of content and a lot of polish.

The only downside is some levels in puzzle mode were trivial to beat but apart from that great entry!

This is really cool, both the critters and the enemies have neat designs  and it is quite varied. I like the attention to deatil (like the crab following the movement of the mouse in the menu).  :D

Wow, this game was well put together with attention to detail! I had a lot of fun with it.

Super fun game, a tower offence like rarely seen and that offers two game modes? Very ambitious but works nonetheless! The artstyle is very cute, although can someone please remove that plastic thing from that seagull?? D:
Music and sfxs are also very nice, the "yeays" really fit the whole beach/summer vibe!
Overall very nice game, there's such a huge possibility for future complex and fun levels that could be designed with all these different units and enemies!

Lovely graphics.  Puzzle mode was better than arcade mode.  Bit of a head-scratcher at times but got there in the end.  Good game.

Really enjoyed the music, especially the title/loading screen music.

Cool idea to include both puzzle and arcade mode, but I think I would have preferred a more complete/polished version of either, although it’s possible I just didn’t get the arcade mode and missed something.

The puzzle mode progressed interestingly, but I didn’t really feel like I need to think much, except on maybe one or two of the levels. The arcade mode kept telling me I failed but I couldn’t figure out how to get mating pairs across since I only ever had one of each fish.

Regardless, nice visuals, nice music, and cool concept. Nicely done!

Thanks for playing!

In development, I thought arcade mode was too easy, so maybe I tweaked the values down to make it too hard.

In the procreate level, there might be more fish hiding under the rocks.

But I agree. In hindsight it seems obvious that we should have fully committed to one mode of play, and not try to have both. Good point.

Really cute game. Loved the different mechanics in the puzzles. I didn't realize there were tooltips until I was close to the end, so it was a lot of trial and error up until that point. The graphics were so well done. Overall a really great game!
