Hey sorry I took so long. I love the game! I don't have much feedback and mostly agree with the other poster. The game overall feels pretty good to play. Some nitpicks I have:

A tutorial would be very helpful to get accustomed to how the game expects the user to handle it.

The top left UI elements were not lined up in my window. I can screenshot if you need.

Pacing could be a little faster or maybe a speed up button like the other commenter suggested.

I understood the story but was mainly drawn to the gameplay and aesthetic.


Can't wait to see more!

Thank you so much for the in depth feedback and the video recording! I very much appreciate your time. The video recording is EXTREMELY helpful as I have been the only play tester of my own game, so to see the steps you took in order to run into certain bugs and the thinking behind certain bad decisions in my design was very illuminating. I never realized how much I was doing things in my game the way I intended them to be done (thus causing me to miss many bugs), but I now realize I need to either break out of that box more or have more variety in play testing. It is actually a very big moment for me to watch someone else play my game! I will be taking all the critiques and advice to heart and can't wait to implement them in the next version of the game.

Thank you for playing! Is there any chance you remember what steps led up to the villager getting stuck behind the tree? Also, thank you for your feedback on using left and mouse buttons. I originally had a much much more simple plan for the game that only involved one mouse button and kind of worked myself into a corner. I 100% plan to implement more traditional controls in the next version of the game! The QOL changes you mentioned in the edits are also extremely helpful!

Gotcha! In the game, you are meant to have the villagers "switch lanes" by sending them home, storing them in the house, and releasing them at a different house. I believe you got stuck because you were not able to switch a villager onto a new lane in order to have them harvest gold. This will be something I address in the game design, thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for playing! Were you able to store/release the villagers in order to switch lanes? When you say stuck do you mean the game crashed or you were unable to move forward?

Hi guys, I  am learning game development and challenged myself to make a PvZ/RTS hybrid of sorts within a deadline.

The game def still needs polishing and much more, but I am hoping to get feedback on the main gameplay loop/overall design. Balance and things of that nature can and will easily be tweaked; I am more-so focused on whether the game is fun to play, feels good, and if I executed my idea well. However, if you encounter any bugs please let me know as I have released this in as much of a bug-free state as possible.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I agree with getting the player to notice that they have new purchase options. I was wondering how to do it given the current UI size but a sound and some kind of color highlighting would be an amazing idea. This is all extremely helpful I very much appreciate it.

Thank you so much for the in depth feedback! The specific numbers you gave me and the improvement ideas are tremendously helpful. Being able to buy a rooster is a good idea, it is something I've considered as kind of an intermediate between having chickens and buying upgrades (my partner was also super confused why she was picking up coins instead of eggs haha). The recommendation of making the foxes harder by having more of an ability to combat them is very interesting as well. I have been trying to find a way to make foxes (and in general the game) harder without cramping players' fingers spamming click/space, so the idea of an entity that attacks the foxes for you once they are too strong to click is def the way to go.

The coin upgrade is meant to be the end goal of the game; once you fill up that upgrade, you are meant to "win the game" but I left it without a win-state so that you can keep going. Hi guys, finally have my game in a playable state with all elements intact. Looking for feedback on feel and pacing so that I can tune the numbers a bit.
