What is Flappy Jam?
Flappy Jam is a small beginner-friendly Jam where you create a Flappy Bird clone but with your own TWIST!
This is for everyone and anyone. Whatever the reason may be, you are welcome to join!
Personally, I wanted to host this because I haven't made a game in a long while and wanted this to be an opportunity to do so! Between work and life affecting my creative juices, I have been aching to make something again!
If you feel the same, hop on and join the fun without the pressures of rankings/scores.
Why join?

Our community is here to help and there are plenty of resources online where you can find Flappy Bird Tutorials. Feel free to join our discord, we have plenty of people ready to help!

Participation
Who can enter? Anyone, from anywhere. You can work alone or in a small team. Make sure that you have an itch.io account and press the big "Join jam" button on this page.
Dos and Don'ts
- Your game must be in English if it has dialogue or text.
- No NSFW games. (Young people are attending here too.)
- It is okay even if you don't follow the jam theme and want to create something on your own. Just make sure it is a project that you started working on when the Jam starts.
- You can use any assets (e.g. fonts) from the internet as long as you have the correct licenses for them.
- Include credits in the description such as names of your teammates, roles within the team, and the assets you’ve used. You can also credit any tutorials and links that have helped you make this game.
- Let me know in the description if you are cool with me playing your game on Twitch.
- The game can be a web or .exe build. As long as it does not contain any malicious malware etc.
Suggestions & Encouragements
- It's highly encouraged to build your game on the web so people don’t have to download it.
- Do not provide feedback to the game unless specifically asked for.
- Reflect & list down 3 things that you’ve learned from this Jam.
- Have fun and hope we learn lots together!
Raffle Prizes
I wanted to give back to the community to celebrate this jam so I will be hosting a small raffle for 3 Steam Game Codes (EUROPE ver.) of small games like A Short Hike or Pikuniku where the only requirements to join are:
- Finish and submit your game.
- List 3 things you learned during this Jam.
- Join the discord channel.
