incredible game! very fun and had great balancing.
(by the way I keep seeing some person who makes the music for this game and your last jam submission... weird... you might have to go play his game Jerald n' Builder. )

Thanks for playing my game! The characters do have a walking animation it's just really subtle.

I was not prepared for the front-facing camera. The rest was a great game!

Super cool game, the concept is very neat. One change would be to make the winning more dramatic like add some screen shake and some other effects.

Cool game! It could have some more content but overall it is fun to play!

Very creative game concept and super cool looking art!

Island Jam community · Created a new topic very cool jam

i knew this was the jam for me as soon as I read the title

islands are cool

Firstly, set it to public. Secondly, hit submit and then choose that game. The next steps should be pretty self-explanatory but let me know if you have any more issues/questions.

No, just try to keep them pixelated if you can, otherwise any background is fine.

I don't know why the results are not showing, it must be a bug. If you want to see the results you can sort games in the submission tab by popular.

The next jam has been made, and it will start in a month and 1 week!

https://itch.io/jam/pixelated-toast-jam-2 make sure to join!

I don't want to make a poll for the theme because I want it to be a surprise. I will set up the jam to be from the 22nd to the 23rd of October.  I will probably set up the jam soon so people have lots of time to join because you cannot get many members if you start a jam 3 days before it starts.

Should this jam be once a year or once a month?

Btw I'm not making the jam longer than 1 day.

Cool game!

Nice game! I didn't really know where to go lol

Very epic game. 5/5 would look at again.

You posted this game on other jams, which means it clearly isn't within the time limit. Noone is laughing. There are other ways to promote your game.

As long as you have the legal rights to use it then sure! Go ahead!

No, the games do not need to relate to toast but the games have to have a pixel/voxel style.

Oh! Thanks for telling me, that was a weird mistake by me... it should be fixed soon.

The video is quite laggy and the game stops responding when I try to close the app but it was funny and an interesting idea.

Thanks :)!

This is the best game I have ever played. If I knew I could get such high-quality games for free on this laptop I would have never bought any consoles. The professional dialogue sound had a special feature I liked, called "loud and incredibly annoying" which in my opinion added a lot of character

The well-thought-out and well-written dialogue led to a game that was thrilling and every different line that was said made it impossible to stop. If you die you would have to continue just to see what will happen next. For all the completionists out there, you can try and die to the 0.01 extra bullet. The sound effects were well made and equivalent to a professional game development company.

The art in the game was just astounding and you had to just stop and appreciate how incredible the visuals of the game are. This game did not even need post-processing to look good. I do not have any bad things to say about this game. Everything was perfect and I could not ask for anything more in this game. The ending was so shocking I died before I got to it.

(what other parts of the game can I compliment... hmmm) The background of the game was so stunning, every part of the background must have taken forever.

I shall now submit this for an essay I had to write for school.

yes

That is one of the problems with my game but I didn't have enough time to make a menu to enable that, because I didn't want it to tell you automatically where the hearts were. Thanks for playing though!

This game was awesome! I don't know why I expected a jumpscare lol.

Can you check out my game, The Game Jam's Dark Side?

https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-113-final-boss/rate/1671303

It was made in only 2 days so I didn't have too much time to make a big game, but thanks for playing!

Thanks!

Incredible Game! It is a very cool concept!

This is a great game! It looks awesome!

Good game. I have some feedback:
1. Add sound effects, it feels empty

2. Add a cooldown when shooting (something small like a 0.5-second cooldown)

3. Make the text at the end screen more visible.

Other than that, nice game!

Nice game! One piece of feedback, when making a game with a pixel art style it is best to use a pixel art font otherwise the UI just stands out in a bad way. The pixel art is great and the colour palette is also good.

Enjoy!

The reason people do not export a game to Linux or mac is because if you do not own that computer, sure you can still export it but you will not be able to playtest it, and then you will get a buggy mess. The reason people do not export to the web is that it can be quite challenging to get it working and it takes a lot of time. So to sum it up it doesn't just take two more button presses. Game dev takes a lot of time.

The music was great, it made it hard to be annoyed if you don't get the roll you want! One issue I found is in the level that first introduced the teleporters (i forgot which level it was) it didn't send me to the next level. If there is something I am missing then you should let the player know because the last thing you want is people quitting your game because they didn't understand the rules. Apart from that, it was an incredible game!

I didn't submit a game this time so I cannot rate it but it is such a cool concept! I love that if you change the strategy you will get a different sounding soundtrack every time since each turret is an instrument! Awesome game!

Great game! I just have a few suggestions:

Make the conveyor movement slower.
If you're moving forwards, on a conveyor going backward, you should be moving forwards, even if it is a lot slower.
Make the dialogue text move from the top to the bottom of the screen depending on where you are standing.
This would be easy to add if you just check the y position of the player and then move it out of the way.
Don't repeat voice lines.
I think this one is pretty self-explanatory

Apart from that, awesome game!

Did you understand the concept of the game, like how you beat the first level? And what do you want me to fix, everything apart from a weird movement bug works fine. Apart from that, thanks for the good rating!
