Please join us on Discord and give me a DM: you won some prizes ;-)!!

Thanks for playing and the feedback :-)!
Yes, finally I got to use the asset pack...

That was the right choice but the characters are at random locations every game so the engineer near the pods is a lucky one. Could also be 3 rooms further. Just a random location so nothing special I did about that at the moment.

Indeed only the captain can shoot and activate the self destruct. Only the doctor can get the DNA and only the engineer can activate the escape pods. If you manage all and survive you get the total win ending else you get a different text for every thing that succeeded or failed.

I like the genre of tactical turn-based so I was intending to do something more with it. Making a bigger game than only a jam game perhaps.

Hope you did enjoy playing a little bit :-)!?

GAMEPLAY
Nice little survival type of game. I did had to figure out how to play this game. Especially without a weapon, the beginning was very difficult. Once I got a slingshot, I was able to survive much better and endure through the game much longer. Perhaps an option to provide the slingshot at the beginning or immediately offering a choice between weapon and some health or so to the player would be helpful. It was not an easy game. I failed many evenings ;-)! It could be just me, or perhaps the difficulty with enemies could ramp up more slowly. I also sometimes did only a few seconds after retrying... Read you wanted some extra enemies and weapons that would be a good addition in a possible update. I had fun playing and trying to survive as long as possible.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The visuals were in a nice and coherent style and unique for this jam. The UI in same style enhanced the game's atmosphere. The menu and overall graphical presentation were particularly well-executed. Cute little animations and nice

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The background music and sound effects added to the game's ambiance, contributing positively to the overall gameplay experience. SFX is always nice to have in a game.

INNOVATION
The game did not showcase significant innovations but executed its chosen mechanics good.

THEME
The theme of isolation was present, with the setting in a lone forest enhancing the thematic depth. Curious about what other plans you had.

Overall a nice solid survival type game. Well done 💪

GAMEPLAY
That was a fun experience. A small game, but cleverly designed with some mini-games, some searching, and a story that unfolds progressively. The witty texts for some items were also well done. Short, but just right for a game jam, and it was fun to free Samuel.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art was very well designed, enhancing the visual appeal of the game.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The music was very fitting, enhancing the spooky atmosphere of the game and adding to the overall thematic experience.

INNOVATION
Not really applicable.

THEME
The theme was integrated into the narrative, adding depth to the storyline.

Overall a well-balanced little game. Well done 💪

Still it was a good entry! Next time will be even better :-)!

GAMEPLAY
The gameplay was engaging once I understood the mechanics, offering a mix of a little bit of puzzle-solving and action. The levels were enjoyable, featuring various weapons and a satisfying victory animation. The game became increasingly challenging, adding to the excitement, although it became quite difficult and more frantic towards the end for me to finish it all. Was enjoyable to play!

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art was excellent, enhancing the game's aesthetic appeal and fitting well with the overall theme and mechanics.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The music and sound effects were effective, enriching the gaming atmosphere and complementing the action-packed gameplay.

INNOVATION
The game was somewhat innovative in how it merged mini-puzzle elements with action platform levels, providing a unique twist within the game jam context.

THEME
The theme of isolation was cleverly integrated into the gameplay, using the mechanics of isolating part of the levels.

Overall a fun polished execution for this game jam theme. Well done 💪

Fun puzzle game!

GAMEPLAY
A fun puzzle game with increasing challenges with each additional level. I had to read the comments to learn about the secret rooms, but after that, I could do that too :). Controls worked good for this one. Some extra guidance could be helpful for players I think.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The graphics were simple yet effective, suitable for the game's purpose.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The background music was pleasant and fit well with the puzzle-solving atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience.

INNOVATION
The game did not introduce significant innovations but was solid in its execution of puzzle game mechanics.

THEME
The theme was included within the game with the mechanics.

Conclusion: Solid puzzel game and nice game jam entry. Keep it going 💪

Fun cute puzzle game!

GAMEPLAY
The game featured smooth controls, especially the laser cutting mechanics, which provided a satisfying gameplay experience. The puzzles were not too difficult, and I would have liked to see more levels and perhaps more creatures, but I understand that time is limited during a game jam, and the variety provided was definitely good and sufficient. Also the addition of extra elements did work out fine and added extra challenge to a level.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The graphics were charming and cute, contributing positively to the overall aesthetic and making the game visually appealing. The laser cutting also felt really nice when doing so.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio, including the background music and sound effects, was well-suited to the game's style and enhanced the playful atmosphere.

INNOVATION
The cutting mechanic introduced a somewhat innovative element to the gameplay, differentiating it from typical puzzle games.

THEME
The theme of isolation was clearly woven into the game's concept.

Overall a solid polished fun puzzle game. Well done and keep up this nice work 💪

GAMEPLAY
Well-executed and enjoyable puzzle game. Nice puzzles with increasing difficulty. It was also nice to have a tutorial to get started. Controls worked good, but maybe the selecting could be more simple? Did do some playthrough video peeking to help myself in some levels ;-)

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art was very well done, with great designs for the backgrounds and characters, enhancing the visual appeal of the game.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The music and sound effects were well-suited to the visuals and gameplay, contributing to a cohesive and immersive game environment.

INNOVATION
The game did not introduce significant innovations but delivered a solid and enjoyable puzzle experience.

THEME
The theme was cleverly integrated into the storyline.

Overall a very nice polished and enjoyable puzzel game. Keep up this nice work 💪

GAMEPLAY
The concept was interesting. I wish there was maybe a little bit more to do or content, but I do not think it was intended to be more, and it did this fine. The transitions took some time, so playing quickly to achieve all endings was not easy to do fast.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The graphics were satisfactory, adequately supporting the game's concept.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The sound was quite right for this kind of game(play).

INNOVATION
The game was not particularly innovative.

THEME
The theme was integrated in a fun and playful way.

Overall a fun and good little game jam entry. Well done 💪!

GAMEPLAY
The game was relaxing for me and featured simple controls that made it easy to engage with. The overall message delivered through the end added a meaningful layer to the experience.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The visuals were ok and fitted the game well.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
I found the background noise a bit less appealing. Perhaps a more relaxing music track would have been better, in my opinion. I read it was white noise that maybe others will like as audio/

INNOVATION
The game did not showcase significant innovation.

THEME
The theme was effectively integrated into the game.

Nice solid good game jam entry. Keep up this good work 💪!

Very nice 3D puzzle/platform game.

GAMEPLAY
It was a fun game experience! Nice to look around at the environment also despite the time pressure. The controls were a bit difficult for me, but I am not so good at these type of games so can also be just me. I wasn't always sure if a jump had fully executed, which led to situations like falling into lava. Plus because I am not so adept and fast the bar depleted for me sometimes a bit too quickly. Still enjoyed playing.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The 3D environment was beautifully rendered with some good light effects that enhanced the visual appeal of the game.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio was well-suited to the game's setting.

INNOVATION
Not really applicable.

THEME
The theme was incorporated into the story, check.

Overall a solid 3D game entry to this jam. Good work 💪

Cool concept :-)!

GAMEPLAY
The game excels in its original concept, offering a satisfying learning curve that allows players to intuitively grasp what needs to be done through trial and error, which enhances the experience. However, a bit more initial guidance could make the gameplay more accessible without detracting from the discovery process. For a maze game, this approach was really fun.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The visual design is very simple yet highly effective for this kind of game.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio is good, crucially supporting the game mechanics through well-designed sound effects and a background track that enhance the thematic atmosphere.

INNOVATION
The use of echolocation as a gameplay mechanic is certain innovative within the context of this game jam, offering a unique and engaging way to interact with the game environment.

THEME
The theme of perceptual isolation is well-executed.

All in all, a very successful unique entry for the game jam. Keep it going like that in your next projects 💪

GAMEPLAY
For the time period in which this was made, it's definitely a solid little puzzle game. The puzzles were straightforward and could benefit from more variety to enhance the challenge and engagement levels. And sometimes I got stuck, maybe think about some ways to avoid that.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The game featured cute pixel art that effectively added to the visual appeal of the game, fitting well with the overall aesthetic.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The background music was appropriate but quickly became repetitive. Introducing more varied sound effects or music tracks could improve the auditory experience in a future update.

INNOVATION
Not really applicable

THEME
The theme was included but touched upon only lightly.

Conclusion: Nice fun little puzzle game. Good job 💪

Managed to get into the game and play it!
Now I was able to give it a proper rating.
Needed some tips from the comments and you to play. After that I could get further.

GAMEPLAY
The concept is intriguing. The controls could have been a bit more smooth. Luckily I read the tips before ;-)!

ART STYLE / VISUALS
Nice art graphics and atmosphere in the game. Eerie.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
Audio fitted with the ambiance we think you wanted to make. Maybe a spooky background track could add extra suspense

INNOVATION
Not really applicabe.

THEME
The theme of isolation was incorporated, lightly, but checked.

Nice game jam entry. Keep up the good work.💪

Effective in its simplicity :-)!

GAMEPLAY
Simple but effective experience, especially for the theme. Of course, it's a pity there isn't more to do than walking and some jumping, but maybe this could one day serve as a basis for a game with more action and options. Nicely done when you walked the wrong way at the start :-).

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The graphics, though simple, effectively used basic shapes and effects to create a compelling atmosphere, demonstrating that simplicity does not detract from visual appeal.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio was perfectly suited to the experience.

INNOVATION
Not highly innovative.

THEME
The theme was well incorporated as an experience.

Maybe not really a game, but for the experience it was well done. I know it was made in not so much time so still nice that you could make this experience. Nice unique entry. Keep it going :-) 💪

Well made platformer!

GAMEPLAY
The platformer was good fun with functional controls, like a double jump that worked smooth. The story was also engaging. Maybe a warning in the dark world that some things can kill you would be helpful. I found out mostly by trial and error :)

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The graphics were visually very appealing. Well done!

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio was well-executed, with a soundtrack and sound effects that complemented the game’s atmosphere effectively.

INNOVATION
The game did not introduce notable innovations but was solid in its execution of traditional platformer mechanics.

THEME
The theme was woven into story, check.

Overall a well-made solid platformer experience. Nice for a first try at godot also. I read you will do updates to finetune the rough edges. Like that. Keep it going 💪

GAMEPLAY
The game concept is a good idea, but the control mechanics need some refinement for smoother gameplay. Sometimes I could see too little to know where to go. Jumping sometimes didn't seem high enough, and the second character occasionally blocked my view while I was trying to redo a jump, even though she wasn't really in the way of course. Needs some extra love to fix that and the game will be a lot better and the story will come out better also I think.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The graphics & visuals were well done!

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio quality was satisfactory & good.

INNOVATION
The game shows a small degree of innovation.

THEME
The theme was incorporated into the game's concept, checked.

Overall, a good idea with some rough edges that could definitely be smoothed out with an update. Keep up the good work 💪

Good platformer!

GAMEPLAY
The platformer featured smooth controls that tended towards being a bit slippery, which added an extra challenge. Sometimes I would have liked a waypoint so that I wouldn’t have to redo as much level when I made a mistake (and I made a lot ;-)). The extra abilities are nice bonus. Did get stuck somewhere in level one when I fell and could not get out. Restarted and passed that part and no worries after that. It was a bit difficult for me with butter fingers but I almost made it to the end and watched the video for the last part.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art was appealing and nice and probably lot of effort, but i payed of and also the animations made it feel for alive. Light effects also cool.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The 8-bit music track and sound effects appropriately complemented the retro style of the game.

INNOVATION
Not really applicable

THEME
The theme was only lightly incorporated into the game, not deeply explored but still acknowledged. Check

Overall a solid decent fun platformer game. Well done. Keep it up like this 💪.

Cool explosions :-)!

GAMEPLAY
The game was enjoyable once I got used to the controls, allowing for fast movement and engaging shooting action. The aiming could be a bit smoother maybe (sometimes took some time to aim correctly), which might enhance the gameplay experience further. Windows performance was good. The web version was what laggy so I just switched to the download. Even more weapons types would be great of course in a possible update and more enemies and different landscapes.. :-)

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The landscape in the game was nice, and the perspective from the tank provided a satisfactory view for me when hovering and shooting.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio enhanced the immersive experience of the shooter game.

INNOVATION
The game didn't introduce significant innovations but was a solid execution of this genre.

THEME
The theme was acknowledged but only lightly incorporated into the gameplay through story, which was sufficient for a light touch.

Overall a well done fun tank shooter game. Enjoyed playing. Keep up this good work 💪

Solid platformer with minimalism for the visuals!

GAMEPLAY
The platformer was engaging and challenging, with smooth controls enhancing the experience. The option that you have to wait until you die (idea is funny) made me just close the game and restart it, that took too long. Maybe the hitboxes could have been sharper, but it didn't bother me during gameplay.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The minimalist visual style was effective and distinctive, fitting well with the overall design of the game. Though the hitboxes could be fine-tuned for precision.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
Think the sound fitted with the design well.

INNOVATION
The game didn't feature notable innovations but was well-executed within the platformer genre.

THEME
The theme was present but not explored in depth, though it was sufficient to meet the game jam's criteria.

Overall a good fun platform game and nice game jam entry. Well done 💪

GAMEPLAY
The game provided a unique and entertaining experience, with an AI voice (if I read that correct) that added a lot of character and humor. The interactive element of clicking around and receiving witty commentary was engaging and enjoyable.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art was simple but effective for the game tone.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The integration of the AI voice with sound effects was well executed, enhancing the comedic and engaging aspects of the game. It fitted well into the context.

INNOVATION
The game was somewhat innovative, especially in terms of incorporating humor effectively into the game.

THEME
The theme of isolation was mentioned but not very deeply explored within the game's context.

Nice, funny entry. Thanks for the laugh 💪😁!

Some nice wood chopping :-)

GAMEPLAY
The concept is solid, and chopping wood provided fun gameplay. It would be interesting to see this expanded with more activities and perhaps humorous consequences for incorrect actions, like hitting a stone.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The visuals were okay, supporting the game's simple and straightforward approach. The animation for chopping wood was effectively and amusingly executed.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The sound design was appropriate, matching the activities and the environmental setting of the game.

INNOVATION
Not really applicable

THEME
The theme of isolation was only lightly touched upon, with potential for deeper integration in further developments of the game.

Good little game effort 💪

Good little game jam entry!

GAMEPLAY
The game offered a unique angle on the theme and simple but fun gameplay. Including more varied missions could enhance the replay value and engagement. After a while it lost some interest.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The graphics were simple, fitting the game’s needs without overcomplicating the visual presentation.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The lack of sound was noticeable, particularly where audio could enhance the thematic elements such as the blood stone's build-up. Adding sound effects or music could significantly improve the atmosphere of this game. Maybe something for a future update

INNOVATION
Not really applicable.

THEME
The theme was incorporated, check. Maybe could be some more..

Little game job well done. Keep it going 💪

Nice fun little game jam entry!

GAMEPLAY
The controls worked smoothly for me. There was some stress at times trying to keep the meters filled. Especially the first time, but the second time I knew that coconuts are very handy, and I made it until I was rescued from the island. Did I miss anything else by the way or that was the correct end?  Fun little actions you could do each day to advance the story.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art was nicely done and cohesive, contributing positively to the game's overall aesthetic.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio was effectively composed, enhancing the game's atmosphere and fitting well with the visual style.

INNOVATION
The game didn't feature notable innovations but was solidly executed within its genre.

THEME
The theme of isolation on an island was well integrated into the gameplay.

Solid pixel art puzzle & story driven game. Well done 💪

GAMEPLAY
The platformer features well-constructed, increasingly difficult puzzles that offer a solid challenge. Maybe, the spikes are perhaps a bit too unforgiving. The amount of different levels is admirable.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The pixel art is well done and coherent and small animations enhance the visual appeal, making the game attractive and engaging.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio complements the visual style and genre of this game, adding to the overall atmosphere and gaming experience.

INNOVATION
The game does not introduce significant innovations but executes its chosen mechanics well.

THEME
The use of isolated balloons as a thematic element is a creative approach to depicting isolation.

Conclusion: very solid and fun platforming experience. Well done 💪!
