Nice work, I think you captured the SNES sound well.

Solid work. I particularly enjoyed 'Sandyside Shore' and 'Ripple Memory Finished'

I enjoyed this piece. Like Jofes said it's fairly quiet, but that is more a mixing/mastering issue than a musical one. Overall very solid, especially once the guitar arpeggio comes in. Reminded me of the song 'Equation' from 'The Little Prince'

This is sick, kind of gives me Stelar Blade vibes. The piano tone and the chords that you used are gorgeous.

By far one of my favorite submissions that I've listened to. Very tight composition both musically and thematically, and your vocal layering is on point. The only thing that I felt was missing was maybe some strong stings (swelling tremolo perhaps) at the climax to help add a little power. However, I could see how that could take away from the more folk aesthetic (which is also a really creative angle; I could hear this being an in-game folk song). Great work!

Solid OST, gave me some N64 vibes.  I quite enjoyed 'Wyverns Abounding' and 'Dispute Among Drakes', they tied together nicely.

Thank you!

Appreciate it, glad you enjoyed it

I concur. I also enjoy the fact that it sounds like classic video game music that's not trying too hard to  acoustic/live

I can picture the game and the level that this track goes with,  well-made (irrespective of the time spent writing it)

This is a well written piece. 1:54-2:11 was beautiful, but then you hit us with that spicy transition. Very interesting chords and near non-stop stank facing. Good stuff.

Excellent work, your violin playing was immaculate. I could feel the love for the Souls series in the intro to "Dragon's Dance"; however, I'm a sucker for more pure orchestral compositions, so "Mourning" took the cake for me.

I enjoy how organic these pieces sound. "The Old World" in particular is great, especially when that bass synth comes in.

These are pretty solid, gave me SNES vibes. I quite enjoyed "Searching", although "First Flight" is my favorite despite the clipping issue (you could always upload a non-clipped version to SC)

Thanks! I love writing for brass, so I'm glad you liked those sections.

Thank you! Brass can be tough for sure, especially when mixing. French Horns especially have a lot of mud in their lower register.

What's funny is that I haven't watched 'Princess Mononoke' yet and consequently haven't heard the soundtrack haha. Just listened to 'The Legend of Ashitaka' though and can definitely hear the resemblance. I learned about quartal harmony from Hisaishi's work (particularly 'Spirited Away'), he loves that sound and so do I.

I appreciate how faithfully old-school these pieces sound, even down to your naming conventions. Very clear picture of the game this was made for. 'Platforming Stages 2' and 'Ending' are my favorites (especially 'Ending', I love how cheerful it is)

This is an excellent OST. I could clearly see/feel the game that this was made for. It very much reminds me of the genre of games that twospaces-sg mentioned, which is great because I adore them. My favorite tracks are "Shirotatsu's Lament" and "Sky City Alleyway" (I appreciate the avant-garde nature of this piece in particular). Good stuff.

Thank you,  cool that I was the last entry for you haha.

I definitely wanted to expand the OST, but my day job takes away a lot of my time. I decided to go with the 'beginning and endings' theme since that felt the most complete to me (briefly contemplated writing a character creation theme instead but I felt like that would have been a bit anticlimactic lol). Thanks for listening and rating!

Appreciate it!

Thank you!

Thanks! Bombastic and epic is indeed what I was going for with ' The Journey Begins'. With 'A Parting of Ways' I wanted to use some of the  quartal chord voicings that I learned from Joe Hisaishi's work.

The orchestration was great,  felt like traditional Chinese music. I love all of the runs on the winds and strings

This was an enjoyable listen, very polished. I really like the outro section that starts at 1:48, the chord progression you crafted with the different melodic elements is very classical.

The composition is great, feels very complete. I particularly enjoyed the Cello melody that came in around 0:48, good stuff

Thanks, glad you liked my work! I wanted to write more and fill out the OST (and the journey lol), but with my day job I only had so much time.  I decided to go for a duality: beginnings and endings. I'm thinking about expanding the OST on SC at some point though, so we'll see what happens. Maybe you'll get to go on the journey after all haha

Appreciate it!

Thank you! Wanted to channel some Studio Ghibli vibes with that piece.

Good stuff,  reminds me of Ocarina of Time & FF (particularly The Last Defender). I like how they have a strong correlation to the image/theme.

These pieces are great. "Ballad of the White Dragon" in particular had that extra spice (especially from 0:45-1:02)

Sucker for chiptune, good stuff

Nice work. 'Against the Void'  s l a p s

Thank you, glad you liked them (nice catching the quartal chords, one of my favorite sounds since first hearing them in the 'Spirited Away' soundtrack). Also the instrument that you're hearing in 'A Parting of Ways' is the Yangqin. The one that I used is a free one Kontakt released awhile back, excellent VST.

Cool, just dm'd

I missed the submission window by about 5 seconds. Is there anyway for me to add it now?

Hey man, sorry for the late reply! You've probably already built a team by this point, but if you still need music just let me know

Hey, no worries man. I stewed on it for a bit, I'll pass on doing the SFX. I need to practice and sharpen my skills more.

As for the music, if the other composer isn't willing than I'd be down to do it.

No worries! I'd be happy to do the SFX. I can also help the other composer too, maybe brainstorming some ideas or helping with the mix.

Jokes aside, I wrote Lofi & Vaporwave pretty much exclusively for a while. I am confident that I could capture the PS1/N64 vibe for your game.

Hey, it just so happens that I am a maker of music (I can also do sfx, although I have less experience with it). If you have't found anyone yet I'd definitely be down to work.

Here is my SoundCloud (currently utilizing it as my portfolio; not comprehensive): https://soundcloud.com/user-7094768
