Monstrous Desires is an unranked Visual Novel Jam dedicated to the love of entities, horrors, and monstrosities. Participants are tasked with creating a romantic Visual Novel (VN) that heavily focuses on a monster may it be original or from classics, folklore, modern media, etc.
This means you are allowed to create a VN of any genre. Note that romantic does not necessarily mean romance. You can have the romance be explicit, or you can have it be implied. Erotic entries are also allowed as long as properly tagged.
This jam will run from August 28, 2024 to October 28, 2024 (11:59 pm) at GMT+8

Rules:
- Your VN must heavily focus on (love interest, main antagonist, main character, etc.) a monster that is either original or from classics, folklore, modern media, etc.
- Fan-games are allowed.
- Your VN must have romance or be romantic (or erotic) in nature.
- Entries with erotic elements are allowed and encouraged as long as properly tagged.
- Production of assets can begin before the jam starts.
- The usage of Creative Commons material is allowed.
- Usage of Generative AI to create assets such as art, code, writing, and audio is forbidden.
- Demos or incomplete entries are allowed and can be updated after the deadline ends.
- Be sure to include a content warnings section for your VN near the top of the game page. If none are applicable, state so near the bottom.
- Your game must be a Visual Novel.
- You are allowed to submit entries created for other jams as long as it abides by both jams' rules.
