Fun game with good art and music.
My only feedback would be let me draw by pressing left mouse button.

A fun game with a well designed character. The art really suits the game environment along with the audio!  I didn't know if I was lucky or it was intended but I managed to get a 1% suspicion by just drawing a dot in the middle of the canvas when copying the tree painting.

Developer

Thanks :) You are right about the art calculation it is lacking in accuracy, more of an illusion of ranking in this version.

Liked it! The incorporation of the theme is great, and the drawing concept as well. Great job!

Fun game :) The theme implementation was also pretty clever!

Awesome, very well made, turns out I'm pretty good at art crime too :)

Developer

Thank you. I would expect no less from a forger like yourself :)

I loved the art style of the character and environment, unfortunately my paintings didn't turn out so well haha, it would be nice to have some progression to make creating art easier too :D overall the game is quite cute.

Hey thanks for the kind words on the art I've passed them onto the artist :)
In terms of progression I had thoughts of using the money you get from the art so it's a trade off of meeting the goal vs making the goal easier.
As for the actual upgrades would of any of the following been useful?
- Different brush sizes

- Different brush heads e.g square

- Different ways to compare the art? e.g a tool to overlap your art with the original

- A preview of the accuracy before placing the art?
Let me know if you had others things in mind :)

I think the last two would help a lot, understanding how similar it is to the original art and maybe having some kind of 'guide' to compare with the original art, both ideas seem excellent for the game!

This game is so fun. I love the art so much. Unfortunately, I think they found me ;( HAHAHAH! I love this game so unbelievably much! The interactive world was super fun too. Having to go places and come back to the computer was super fun. I started to think I was... Herb... in real life...

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it. Herb is goals :)

As people will mention, the art style is incredibly charming. Herb is just a little cutie. The Game had a simple story as well that tied perfectly into the gameplay loop and made sense. The only thing that held me back was the lack of tools in the drawing section which made it quite a bit harder to paint. BUT the undo button that gradually erases the paint is AMAZING I've never seen it in a program but I need it now haha :D

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks Herb is best boi :)
In terms of the undo I save eat drawing circle in an array and that array gets redrawn each update. For each change to that array it is stored in an array of arrays so as you undo it just grabs the previous state. E.g
previous_drawings = [ [], [1], [1,2]]

current_drawings = [1,2,3]

undo
grab the last element of previous drawing -> current_drawings = [1,2]

Ohhhh, array-ception, smart :D
