Hello all, as you can probably tell by looking you can call me Keero.

I've just started working with Game Maker Studio, well, I say just, it has been around 3 or so years and I know that seems like a long time to not already have a game completed but what can I say slow learner? I did almost complete a platformer game as my first ever project but at the last stretch it turns out there were too many technical complications and it didn't feel right in the end so I dumped that but kept the experience and tried again! This time succeeding with my new idea for a Bullet Hell / Puzzle platformer. Titled Giga Gear. It's in the final phase of development now and I have a small sample demo to play so It'd be great to get some feedback on it, and I hope my time in the itch.io community is well spent!

Hello,

I am Richard from Boston and Florida.  I am a game investor at Good Shepherd.  I have recently invested in "Transport Fever", "Crush Your Enemies", "Diluvion", "Milanoir" and "Where the Water Taste Like Wine".

I really like Autonauts a lot and was trying to get the developers to submit the game to Good Shepherd.  If accepted, I feel that Good Shepherd would be most helpful in getting this game produced and greatly successful in bringing this great game to market.

Whatever path the developers choose, I wish them great luck in this venture.

I'm pigrocket~

Where my furries at?

Welcome to itch.io!

Have you thought about what engine are you gonna be learning first?

Cheers :')

Thank you!

I'm currently looking for easy engines to learn, but to no avail.

If you have any recommendations, please tell me! I'm looking for something an 8-directional rpg style and a side scroller.

Thanks again ^^

Perhaps Game Maker might be a good pick. It's very beginner friendly and is perfect for 2D games such as the ones you mentioned. It also has a ton of great youtube tutorials (Shaun Spalding is my recommendation).

Happy coding!

Thanks x3!

Hi, my name is Stavros. I started programming at age 16 when I made a luck game with PowePro's scripting language.

Later on CS university where I learned to code in C and C++ I made another 2 games which I plan to release soon, a Word Guessing game for 2 players and a mastermind clone with time limits and scoring system.

Then I made an automated media importer for the home theater software MeediOS. Here is the link to the plugin's forum thread. I was making this for nearly 3 years and it was my only project that was used by many people and received sufficient feedback. Unfortunately MeediOS is dead now so I stopped developing it.

Later, after playing a ton of mods for The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion I decided to make my own mods for Fallout 3. They are Unmarked Quest Objectives: Treatment and Unmarked Quest Objectives: A Nice Day for a Right Wedding. They both add quest objectives and map markers to the game's unmarked quests.

Lately I made another two games, a small 3-minute long game made with Bitsy which I published to itch.io and a tetramino puzzle game with powerups and spells (named Magic Bricks) which I plan to publish soon after some finishing touches. The first took me about 1 hour and the second took me about 1 month to make.

Here is my itch.io page if you are interested.

Cheers!
