Add a feature to show number of downloads

I would like a feature added to this site that shows the total number of downloads each upload has. That way it would be easier to know the scale of popularity each upload has. It would also give us developers an idea of what the public wants.

Click on the arrow on the top-right and select “Dashboard” you can see general analytics, including views and downloads for different projects you’ve made. On the left there are all your projects, pick one and click “Analytics” you will see a screen with all the views and downloads of that game.

If you scroll down, it breaks down views into what link they came from. If you scroll further down, you can see how many downloads each package of this project has.

Hope this is what you were asking :)

What about the number of downloads for products by other devs? Similar to the sandbox.yoyogames.com website which is now extinct. That website also had a legends section that showed the most downloaded games.

If I understood what you meant, that is private information that the developer must share himself.

It’s up to the developer to share their stats if they choose, that is private information by default!

Then, why not add an option for developers to show their app's download stats? . For example, when one is showcasing his app product in a seminar, we don't only want to show screenshots. We'd like people to be able to verify and see it themselves on the accessible platform. Itch.io easily provides a valid and valuable metric to our apps since it is considered a 3rd party platform like Steam, Android or IOS app stores. I don't see why not have an optional feature for this! It'll possibly make Itch.io a more popular platform for developers to publish their stuff, at least I would as an indie developer! Itch.io just feels right to publish indie games!

Yes I need the feature to show the total number of downloads or uses to my app if I were to continue to publish on this platform.
