"Exporting" is not the same as "saving for later loading".  If you exported your map into PNG or SVG than you got an image. If you exported into JSON than you can import that json file into City Viewer. Currently there is no such feature as "saving and loading". The closest thing is keeping a URL for a map in the non-itch version of the generator.
