Please open the bundle again! I just found out about it, and my mother was finally going to let me donate to a blm cause, but now I cannot :( Would be eternally grateful if it opened up again!!!

I understand why you guys would want it back (to donate, help, etc.), but it was up for quite a while. If you missed it, there may be another bundle like this, but they probably won't bring this bundle back.

I don't know if it's too late, but I'll throw mine in if there's room, or if there's gonna be another one?

I'd like to submit my game! But, I think it's considered adult however... I think it's helpful in some ways too. So, I'm torn. I'm just gonna shoot my shot and leave it here. https://justinfoxmedia.itch.io/black-simlator  Thanks for all you're doing regardless <3

Has there been any news about the bundle page? The message just says it will be updated soon, but it's said that since the bundle was still running.

(+3)

when will it be updated like they promised?

Is it possible for me, an aspiring game developer, to still give a donatation and receive access to the original bundle of games offer? I just discovered this today.

Didn’t realize earlier that the collection of supporters went on after the bundle ended. Here’s my recently published PWYW game, if it’s not too late: https://noppa.itch.io/shelled-shinobi

(+1)

Really? Where is the collection of supporters page please I can't find it.

I don’t know if it’s done yet. I just got the impression from other posts that it was still open for submissions, but I’m not sure.

But... You know it's been closed and done for over a month now?

(+7)

Will we ever get a add all button like what was promised?  Can someone please respond?

Admin

I don’t believe we promised an add all button anywhere, if you have a place where it was mentioned you can tell me and I can update it. Thanks

(+10)

On the bundle download page it says:

Note: We will be updating this page soon, we know it's difficult to navigate so many games. We know you want a button to add show everything in your library. No need to reach out. Any new games added to the bundle will automatically show up here. Thanks!

While not a promise for an add all button, it does seem to imply that such a button is being considered. Absent any other news to the contrary, people will be left wondering what's up with that.

Admin(+3)

Thanks for the clarification. I’m going to remove that notice from that part of the site now since there is no longer an influx of people going there. We’re more likely to make it a bit easier to navigate through the games, but we have no plans to add an add all button for now. The size of the bundle increased substantially since the that notice was originally added.

(+8)

What is the reason for this?  Is it difficult to make a add all button?

Admin(+6)

There are both technical and customer support related issues that make something like this problematic. Our bundle system was not designed for thousands of games. In order to make this bundle available to everyone as soon as possible, we put up a compromise for the solution. In the future, if we do other huge bundles, we’ll likely invest more time in improving the experience. Since the bundle is now over it’s a lower priority making these types of changes right now. I know many members of the community have put together third-party solutions for exploring the games, so you may want to seek out some of those if you haven’t already.

Thanks

I'm glad I found this thread, as I was very confused when I saw mention of the "add all" button quietly removed from my bundle page after I was lead to believe that it was still in the works. For the benefit of others in my situation, would it be possible to add links to these third-party solutions to the bundle page in place of the removed message, along with a short explanation similar to what you've written here?

Thanks!

Hi, the "Note" from the bundle page has not yet been removed, even a month later. I would really appreciate it being removed. I've had to dig up months old itch.io posts to try and find some help about this promise. Please fix the issue as it is misleading and exasperating.

Admin (1 edit)

I’m confused, the note about how the bundle works? There are no plans to remove it right now since it contains vital instructions about how to access the games and how they show up in your library. There was another block of text there previously that was removed.

(+1)

The note about how there will be a button in the future that will allow you to claim all the games in one go, sorry. I should've been more specific. That is still there on my bundle page.

Admin

Are you able to share a screenshot? I’m not sure I’m aware where you’re referring to

(+11)

A bit shady to put that message and then take it away. I know the bundle is over, but that fact making it low priority seems quite a bad choice for future purchases. Why would I spend my money if after that my problems with something I bought are gonna become low priority..

Oh, so we do have to flip through every page and spam that script that they originally told us not to do?

Fairly annoying, I know I shouldn't be complaining; looking a gift horse in the mouth and choosy beggar and all considering the amount of content we got but it's still pretty unintuitive and a bit clunky to claim everything compared to any other platform/bundle where purchasing = ownership.

Best get spamming then..

mayhaps I know this script and what to do with it???

Hey I was wondering, apparently my game Johann Weiss has been removed from the bundle... why is that?

Does anybody else have a decent way to just get your launcher to recognise all the games from this bundle without having to manually click through pages?

I'm puzzled, too, why this has to be such a complicated thing to implement.  Believe me, I 100% understand how downloading all this stuff at once could nuke the servers of a company of any size.  I'm not asking for that, nor could I even begin to need immediate access to 1000+ new games at once.  However, the games themselves are quite difficult to navigate and keep track of in the one big unordered list on the Purchases page.  Is there a reason they shouldn't all be part of a user's Library?  Is simply adding them to the Library without downloading them such a huge server strain for itch.io?  Is it a similar strain on Itch's infrastructure for all the users who bought the bundle to click each individual Claim It! button over the course of however many hours that would take?  Because that's the course of action we have available to us right now, and I sure hope Itch isn't counting on us just giving up because it's too much work for their servers.  How about some drastically rate-limited form of automation of this process on a "best effort" basis?  The bundle ended back in mid-June.  If I had been able to claim (Not download! Just claim!) one title every hour since then, the whole process would have been done long ago, and I probably would have gotten to play a lot more of them than I have.  One title an hour still too much of a strain?  Fine, how about one every six hours?  The bundle would take a year to completely enter my library......but I can live with that!  Just have some respect for our time and don't make us do a bunch of stuff by hand that could be easily automated, regardless of how slowly it needs to process to be practical.

“Is there a reason they shouldn’t all be part of a user’s Library?”

For me there is: Clutter! I have no interest in most of the things in this bundle - which shouldn’t come as a big surprise for a bundle of this extremely generous magnitude. I currently have no use for the asset packs, the Unity games, the vast majority of the TTRPGs, things that have only a single screenshot… And I’m already at the point where I’m collecting links to ask itch.io’s support team to remove those entries from my library again. Right now some users are complaining that they don’t have everything they legally own marked as “theirs” - and I get that, I really do: Before I think “Should I buy this game?” my first thought is “Do I already own that game?” and than I cave to copy the name and paste it into the bundle’s search box. But: It would be far more inconvenient for me to navigate almost two thousand things - in a similar fashion I would have to navigate the bundle, I’d like to point out.

And that’s the reason that I don’t chime in and repeatedly ask for a feature that the admin(s?) already know the demand about. Don’t get me wrong: Always fight for the things you believe in! I’m just offering a different point of view. I’m not against there being an option to claim all those game - but I can foresee the flood of requests for an “undo”-button as well…

I left this bundle alone and all but forgot about it today because the note suggested that an "add all to library" button was coming and I didn't want to waste time clicking through every game one by one. Imagine my disappointment that this plan was abandoned as quietly as the note about button plans was removed.

I happen to have the exact wording of that note as of 2020-06-16:

Note: Projects in this bundle are hidden in your library by default untill you first access them in order to avoid flooding your library. You can return to this page at any time to access any projects you wish to show in your library.

Note: We will be updating this page soon, we know it’s difficult to navigate so many games. We know you want a button to add show everything in your library. No need to reach out. Any new games added to the bundle will automatically show up here. Thanks!

While they did not fulfill on updating the page “soon” I would have been surprised if a button that add everything from the bundle to a user’s library - based on the context of the first note and that it would ruin the usefulness of the personalized recommendations for those who would have clicked said button.

Whatever might or might not be implemented in the future would probably be more along the lines of filtering and sorting.
