New room glitch

I just unlocked new room and tried to hang a mirror on the wall, but it didn't go well.

The mirror is there, but it's invisible, I can take it off the wall with no problem tho. Also, when I come close to it my character starts glitching.


There's also this minor thing with two recipes ingredients - Omelette shows Pork x0 and Chocolate Cake shows Chocolate x0.

Thanks for letting me know I’ve marked both things down to fix. The cooking stuff is likely just a database error. The mirror on the wall is a bit more complicated, but I think I know what the problem is. The Z ordering system was redone a patch ago and this is likely an oversight on the system. The walls in your house are special so they likely just aren’t caught in the ordering checks. I’ll look into it. For now if you want you can leave the mirror up you can, when the bug is fixed it should place itself in front of the wall on its own.

I had the same issue with the mirror, but it's fixed now. Along the same lines, though, when I walk up to the wall in the new room, my character disappears behind it now. I don't remember if that was happening before the latest hotfix or not. Also, I just noticed that although the mirror is fine, other furniture goes behind the wall as well, as if the wall were a curtain.

So this is happening on version 0.2.2.2? I just checked but I’m not having any issues. Also is your character appearing properly in front of and behind other objects in the world?

Yes, in 0.2.2.2.  The only thing I've noticed it with so far is the new room.

I still haven’t been able to replicate it but I put something into the patch for this week that will hopefully reset the walls to where they should be. I guess no guarantees since I can’t replicate the bug but this should hopefully work.

I have the same bug, I can almost entirely hide behind walls in the new room.

I’ve made a change to the patch, so we’ll see if that works. I think the issue at this point is something that needs to be reverted rather than an issue that is still occurring. Basically I think the wall got shifted to the wrong layer. So I’m working to undo that in the patch for you.
