Please tell me your thoughts!

Pretty good demo!

There were a lot of nice little touches that I liked: The transparency effect for when your character goes into a room and the cracks on the screen when your character gets hit. I also liked how there was a shop between levels.

As far as improvements go, I noticed that the enemies quite frequently would get snagged on the corners of buildings. Also, the player weapon mechanics could use some adjustment -- I noticed that the player "bullet" doesn't always spawn from a consistent point.  Would recommend making the shot origin dead center relative to the player.

I'd say you have  a pretty good foundation to build on for the next version.

My own top-down shooter is a bit different in style from yours, but if you'd like to give it a try I'll leave a link below.

First thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you appreciated all of my hard work! The enemy thing is probably the best I can make it for a while due to it just being a follow script but I do plan on trying to make improvements I just don't know if I will be able to do it. It's way better than it used to be at least. Since this update for based around player shooting improvements and revamping the game I did what you said and fixed the bullet origin. The bullet system is a little outdated compared to the bosses new system. I use the same bullet since at the time I was implementing shooting I didn't know how to use arrays but I do now I just don't think it's worth redoing lots of code especially since it's working. The bullet origin should be fixed in the next update! I want to learn how to make a true AI for the squeal. I'll for sure check out your game!

You're welcome! Glad to hear you got arrays figured out, they're definitely essential in this genre. Looking forward to your feedback on my game!
