Hello! I'm Chanda and with NaNoRenO 2020 bearing its teeth just around the corner, I am looking for a team to help me create a game during this month long jam!

NaNoRenO 2020 Applications

If you have any interest or knowledge in Greek Mythology, we will be working under that premise, specifically the Hymn of Demeter.

Currently, I am looking for:

  • Artists (Character Sprites/CGs, GUI, Backgrounds)
  • Musicians
  • Writers (Route Writing, Editing/Proof Reading)
  • Programmers (Scripters/Coders, Playtesters)

*Please keep in mind when applying as a coder that we will be using TyranoBuilder for the platform as it is what I am most familiar with at this time! You will need to own your own copy of Tyranobuilder only if you are a CODER!

There will of course be changes to the myth since our MC will be added. Her name is Aella and the two love interests we will be looking at are Zeus and Hades. Depending on how well the planning goes and if the scripting gets finished fast enough, we may seek voice actors in the end. This is not definite!

If you're interested in learning more about the project, please check out this link:

Aella, Princess of Athens

Edit: The position for a composer and artist has been filled and Visual Butterfly does not need another at this time!

Hi, Just wondering, Do you provide the Tyrano Builder copy or I require to have one already? :)

That's a very good question actually and I should include that in my post. I'm very sorry for not having that in there. It's expected that when applying that you should already own Tyranobuilder. I do apologize for that confusion. The reason for this being is because Tyranobuilder is a steam exclusive and I believe that steam accounts can only be accessed on one computer at a time to prevent people from deliberating using copies of their friends' games for free. I hope this clears up your question!

It does, thanks for the reply. :)

I love Greek mythology and would love to be a part of this! I'm primarily a writer but I'm working on  a couple other projects at the moment so unless the writing stage for your game will be happening later on I won't be available to help as a writer. However, I'd definitely be down to help as a proofreader/to bounce some ideas around since this is a project I'd really be interested in seeing develop. (If I was proofreading, would I still need a copy of TyranoBuilder?)

Definitely not! You will only need Tyranobuilder if you are a coder! That is the only time you will need a copy of Tyranobuilder. Right now, I am working on the timeline of the game. The writing stages are what comes first as I do not have a complete team! If you'd like to be a proofreader, I can always contact you when everything is ready to be proofread if that is your concern!

Awesomesauce!

Hi! I know it's been quite awhile. I was wondering if you were still available to proofread for the game!

Yeah, with everything going on at the moment I have more than enough free time :)

I read through the google document (Aidoneus) but on the form I wasn't sure what to sign up as (I'm not an artist or programmer (at least not for this engine), and wasn't sure if Proofreader counted as a writer), so I didn't end up filling it in, however if you want to get into contact with me, my discord is 'alveoli ravioli#2650' and I can send you my email from there :D

I've sent you a request!
