We are looking for a 3D artist to help us make Project Angel, a JRPG that pays homage to the Final Fantasy and Persona series. Specifically, we are looking for a 3D character artist to help us develop our visual style, but feel free to apply if you have other specialties. Our team is currently developing the Project Angel Prologue, a short (5-10 hours) introduction to the game. Our goal is to get this shipped and under our belts as soon as possible and seek funding for the full game. The Prologue begins decades into a war between Humans and Demons (a race similar to humans, but with horns). The story tells how the characters end up meeting and becoming demon hunters. In one way or another, all of the main characters soon discover their lives are affected by Douglass Conway, an ambitious young man leading the fight for demon equality. It is soon revealed, however, that Conway’s goals are to unify demons and make them stronger than ever so he has an army at his disposal. In the end, the cast of main characters come together to defeat Conway, but things don't end so simply. With this prologue, we hope to set up a game full of complex characters undergoing difficult conflicts related to the Demon Wars.

The team currently includes an experienced narrative designer and myself as designer and coder. We have already designed all of the main characters, many of the mechanics, and a fair bit of world building. We're currently working on a plot for the Prologue, and we'd like to develop an art style that will fit the project nicely.

The characters will be in a 3D cel shaded anime style that will hopefully give a nostalgic yet unique feel to the game. If you would like to apply, please send an email to me at peckjakob54@gmail.com detailing your past experience and work samples. If we like your work, we will invite you to complete a short art test. Please note that this is a revenue-sharing project, meaning you agree to contribute to this project for free until the project is funded, and then we will arrange for you to receive a fair portion of the revenue.
