Of course there are bugs, it's an early release ;). But feel free to report, we appreciate it!

This may not be a bug on your end, but I'm unable to download it. I'm able to download other games from itch.io, but this one consistently shows as "Failed". I can manually restart the failed download and it appears to be progressing but just before it completes it says "Failed - Network Error". I checked the alternative downloads box and nothing changed. Any ideas? I'm in the U.S. using chrome.

Hi, Joe,

Well, it really seems like a server-side issue. I'll send a message to itch.io staff and will post any replies here.

However the game has been downloaded > 100 times just today so there's a possibility the issue is more like a regional thing (like a wide area network limitation). Since you downloaded other games the thing just gets a little more confusing =/.

I'll see what I can do, and thanks for the interest :)

EDITED BY OUR TEAM.

DISCLAIMER: THIS GAME HAS NO VIRUS AND IT WAS A FALSE POSITIVE, AS WE'LL DESCRIBE BELLOW, AFTER SHOWING THE OP:

The game is scanned as a virus. Multiple confirmations here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/comments/5te03b/itchio_polygonauts_100_off/

OUR FINAL ANSWER:

There were two virus reports. First person: Norton marked the game as "Trojan virus (with a generic algorithm). Specifically: Trojan.Gen.8.". For Norton users I recomend reading Symantec's own topic regarding this false positive with many applications, including steam games: https://community.norton.com/en/forums/trojangen8-false

Second person used Avira. As for Avira we got in touch with their team and they also confirmed it as a false positive.

Regardless of all that we are currently recompiling the game in a fresh Windows installation and will run the appropriate tests using our two Anti-virus of choice (ESET and Kaspersky), and the two mentioned, Avira and Norton.

The new pack will be just a zip file, as suggested by our players.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and wish all our players an incredible week!
