Hello! I'm a leader at Jellygrass Studios, and for our first game, we're developing a visual novel by the name of Aether & Her (title subject to change), which is a cute and simple story featuring an LGBTQ romance and extraterrestrials. What we're hoping to do with this game is to establish a sense of style for our studio and to build a name for ourselves at the benefit of future games, so we're trying to keep complication level at a minimum for the time being.

For a team, we already have a writer and a sprite artist accounted for, and we plan to see this game to its completion, placing an emphasis on having a deep respect for the game, our players, and ourselves. As for what we don't have, we still need another artist of any skill level with any experience to focus primarily on background art and to collaborate with our other artist. In addition to that, we're currently looking for a musician willing to take on the responsibility of creating a soundtrack for the game. Both are necessities, and you will be a valued member of the team should you decide to join!

So far, the plan is that the writing will be finished by the first of December, and that, hopefully, a significant portion of the art will be available for use by then, too, (roughly around the end of December) so we can create a demo. This demo will be used to generate interest in the game, and if necessary, may be used to launch a Kickstarter campaign—but the lattermost is only an option if every member is committed to Aether.

As for payment, each member will have a share of the revenue. The only way Jellygrass, being only a startup studio, would be able to pay you upfront is through a Kickstarter, which we can discuss if upfront payment is necessary.

We want to open this opportunity to everyone—to beginners and the experienced, to people only building a portfolio and already established freelancers—and we want to make a good game. Upon contact, potential artists will be shown concept art of the sprites, and can decide from there whether or not they can match that style. We will be asking both artists and musicians for a portfolio, or at minimum a piece representative of their ability.

Please contact us at my email, theofficialchompoo@gmail.com, or at my Discord, chompoo#2859, for further inquiry and detail! We're excited to work with you!

Edit: Thank you for all the emails and messages! We've found a musician and a BG artist, and we thank you so much for your interest!
