"If you read, you will judge"
I'd like to point out that a lot of people are unhappy with the changes in the recent update 0.9.0 but... I don't know, I like every single bit of it, honestly. It is like "day and night" compared to the 0.8.2v. The game slowly evolves and becomes to look a lot like a proper developed and polished game (my first reaction in 0.9.0v approaching the base is thinking "Wow, that is art..."). Good job developers! I enjoy how they reworked the base once again! It looks great! The game is fun to play! Yeah, I'm having a blast playing it so far...
But now there is a problem with everything taking a long time to do, like, even the simpliest tasks in game... It becomes a real job simulator (at some point you're an Uber driver, a mechanic, a janitor, an office worker, ...a ghostbuster) especially in the early game (after that, you pretty much just build yourself some robot wifes that get your job done for free... and you can focus on busting ghosts, reinventing interior fashion and enjoying spooks). Sometimes, you just gotta sacrifice something - eather you live as a discord mod, a lazy a.. that scientists are not happy with, or just cheese it and edge the scientists with not fully completed tasks... (or both) (sorry, English is not my first language) The simpliest way to solve this problem (is to delete the game) and enjoy your stay "in the isolated research lab in the mountains of Switzerland" is to set your day cycle speed in the save file to like 0,7 (it's the most comfortable speed for me - not very challenging, not quick and not really boring - and you're not rushing yourself with anything with the strict deadlines) - in my opinion
Even in the previous versions of VOTV it really freaked me out that it took like an hour for The Drone to get to your base alone, and then - back to Dr Bao, Dr Lea and those mysterious scientists, whatever... I failed my daily tasks miserably because of that A LOT.
So yeah, all of the problems are because of the game speed (my brave conclusion). I think devs should normalise this speed in the future updates.
Oh, and controls changed - bad... but not for me - I adapted really quickly.
Well, if people are still struggling... man, that's called a skill issue.
If there are more problems... eh, the devs will figure it out.
By the way, you might be wondering, why am I adoring this raw version and praising it so much? - well, I got it for FREE, and you, people, too! And that makes me happy with every improvement and little change. And if there's something wrong - it's a minor inconvenience that will be fixed in the future. Just give the developers time.
(so far, I'm still on day 6 - don't throw tomatoes at me)
