I got inspired by the old and new Mega man games that have been out. I love the platform genre and more the boss you had to fight at the end. Mayor Potato follows the same genre as it is a platform game that you shot through enemies that take 1 or 3 shots and there are platforms that you have to jump and traps you avoid.  What I have so far: Health Bar UI (works), Infinite lives for now, Player coding (damage, shooting, ect). Missing sounds, music, and more enemy AI, and boss AI.

I added a rolling coconut animation to the game. I will eventually make a YouTube blog of all my updates.

Added an intro to my game. I am working on the boss design and moves.

Latest updated. I added a mini boss and add some lives to my next update

I am kind of stuck on the Banana Boss AI fight. I want him to be smart, but not too hard. I been watching streamer play games just to get ideas. I got suggestion from a friend to use a banana peel and the player has temporary slow down effects.

Games like this make me wanna play them

I got the health ups for my game (code and designed).  I am currently working on the  main boss and code the checkpoint I made.

Almost there I am not sure on the Boss movement. I will have to sleep on it.

Boss Update: I went with a boss that uses a banana peel as his special. I original was going to have the Banana Boss throw banana peels at the player, but the looked like the boss was pooping out banana peels. Banana eating bananas...that just weird. So I went with a monkey eating bananas that drop at the base floor. The banana peel effects the player movement by slowing him down and the jump feature is disabled.

I went with the same move that Metal Man uses in Mega Man 2.

Update: UI health bar for the Banana Boss and some bug fixes. I will post the new updated version.

Finished...well for now. I want to add some end animation and create a checkpoint save system. I will be updating this game for sure.
