Features:

Quests! We're experimenting with adding some small quests that give you some structured play while trying to push up the mountain. I've created a thread to discuss quests here.

If you've unlocked the forest teleporter you'll only see the 2 quests in the post-forest camp and won't see the basecamp quests. However, this build also includes the ability to reset your save data if you'd like to play those (or if you'd like to reset the game so a friend can learn through the tutorial). The shortcut to do this ctrl+` (left control and tilde) while playing the game.

This is a new feature so it will be rougher around the edges than most things in the game. Thank you in advance for your understanding! We really hope these features will make the game more approachable for new players who can be overwhelmed by the open-ended nature of the roguelike structure.

Bug Fixes:

  • There's no longer a chance of duplicate suits showing up in crystal rooms (thanks Mike & Sebastian!)
  • Banker returns amount that he says he will
  • Fixed resolution options being occluded (thanks hartlaboratories)
  • Fixed teleport orbs not despawning when generating a new world (thanks hartlaboratories)
  • A banker failing to spawn no longer causes a null ref
  • Preplanted vertical lasers found in the world now work. Vertical lasers planted by the player also now work after moving away from them
  • Shield now properly resets when you start a new run (thanks Mike & hartlaboratories)
  • Quad laser now works
  • Fixed vertical projectile thorn suit sprite on pickup and seed (thanks Mike)
  • Fixed some errors that were happening when loading from the loading scene
  • Unfortunately did not completely fix the spring failing to launch you into a camp. However, I did add code that resets the spring so that you can try entering the camp again. This will hopefully make this bug a little less gamebreaking and a little more manageable. Will continue to look into this one!
  • First item on the tutorial checklist map was showing up and then animating on top of itself. It no longer does that
  • Fixed some dialogue indentation
  • Banker proximity dialogue after making an investment no longer triggers at an incorrect distance
  • You can no longer teleport carrying teleporter orbs. That was never supposed to be allowed in the first place lol
