Gift a extra copy of the game for buyers?

Hey there, i am trying to use rewards to give an extra copy of the game for people who already bought the game, but the documentation for rewards is really confusing.

From what i understand, i just need to set a minimum price.

But what happens after i release the reward?

From what I understand, a button will appear in my game page to reclaim the reward if you bought the game. But then what? Does itchio generate a list where i can send code by code? Or i need to ask for the person email? Not sure how this work.

Is the idea that you're trying to give them another steam key or something? Itch doesn't have DRM, so I'm not really sure what having an extra copy of a game means in this context.

I am trying to give an extra key inside itchio, so buyers can give a copy to a friend if they want to.

If a person bought from you - you automatically have their email address under payments.

You could generate some keys and email everyone a key with a cover note that the key is to give to their friends ...  I would recommend that you force the key to be claimed so that only 1 person can claim it.

Thanks for the tip of forcing the key to be claimed.

There is the email list, but itchio states that is only for problems with payment, i don't think is correct to use for anything other than that.

I can send a collective email to all buyers, but there is no way to send a single key to each one.
