What if part of Asterion's healing in the love route the Master and Asterion speculate on how bad it could of been had the master chosen  to be abusive. This would allow for the player to do the bad route and not feel bad about it. Say the entire time the Master is uncomfortable making the bad choices in the hypothetical scenario but Asterion encourages the Master saying things like "this is the exact opposite of what you do", "I need to know how you wouldn't act", "I need to expose myself to my greatest fear to get over it", "I want to see how bad it really could of been to know how good I have it instead", etc. also despite not liking the idea I guess in the bad routes the same speculation could be used to enhance Asterion's suffering showing him how good he could have had it but wont, maybe in one of the bad routes the Master does feel some degree of regret and maybe even kills himself out of shame and regret for what could of been. (I still havnt played any of the bad routes so I dont know if this would even apply)

Yes its obvious I want my cake and eat it too. The itch for 100% completionism is strong but my desire to be a good boy outweighs it. I really just cannot stand being mean to Asterion, give me a loophole!!

nah honey, you have to learn to dissociate. the master is not you, you are not the master. no matter how well they design a character to be a self insert, that's still not you. most people have more personality than a blank slate.

Anytime I can name the main character I give them the name Tard so I dont even consider them me, I just dont want to be the unseen hand guiding things to a dark place.

it's all 1s and 0s. kindly grow a spine, and either just bite the bullet or give up on it.

story telling isn't supposed to make you feel like "the good guy". it's supposed to allow people to experience and explore things in a safely manner, and sometimes it tackles on difficult topics, because doing that is what makes you grow as a person. there's no need to modify the route.

the story is already written, you're not really "guiding" anything, merely observing it. You could always start over and overwrite the save, anyway.
