This is a little experimental game I am making and would love your feedback!

Here is the link to the page: If Morrowind was a text based RPG

If Morrowind was a text based RPG is a game that takes The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and puts it in text based RPG form.

Just updated it! :)

It's not running properly in Wine. Can I have more screenshots at least, and maybe a few words on how you adapted the concept?

Explain how it is not running properly.

The sound starts, and I get a functional menubar, but otherwise it's a black window.

That's weird, I don't know why that is happening. Also what is Wine? That may be the source of the issue.

https://www.winehq.org/ -- it's how I can run Windows games in Linux. When it works, anyway. Thanks for looking into it.

That would probably explain it then. I tested it to make sure it was not a programming glitch and it worked fine. Also I have friends who downloaded it and it worked for them. I'm sorry you could not get it to work :(

Interesting, but pretty bare bones so far. It'll be intriguing to see how you handle navigating the world environment, maybe picking between X paths or trails, etc. You could try mining BBS games like Legend of the Red Dragon (you can play it online) or Usurper for ideas on that, maybe some roguelikes.

Depending on how far you want to go with it I think people over in the Blind Gaming Community may be interested in something like this, they prefer keyboard shortcuts though and Clickteam Fusion (or at least your prototype) doesn't seem to play nice with screen readers like NVDA picking up the text on screen, so you'd maybe have to use a different toolkit or build in TTS engine.

That's what I was planning on doing for navigating the environment. As for the NVDA thing I don't know if there is much I can do about that but I will definitely look into it! Thanks for checking out my game :)

Its up to you if you want to persue accessibility or not, heh. If it helps any I think the IF engine Inform 7 is accessible with NVDA, although i'm sure there may be others, maybe renpy. Worst case you can just download NVDA and test it with whichever application your using. Either way, good luck with your project. ;)

Thanks! I will definitely look into it and see what I can do :)

Just released alpha 1.2 which includes a number of new features, so go check it out :)

Patch 1.2.1 out now!

Just finished patch 1.2.3 which adds a new icon among other things!
