Newbie looking to JAM

Hey all. Looking to join my first game jam. Finishing my Bachelors in Software Engineering in a few months. Been having no luck finding a job so I figured I should occupy myself with something fun! Really just looking to meet like-minded people and learn as much as I can.

I've got a small jam planned in a little over a week. If you are interested, it would be a good way to spend a week creating, learning how to use a particular engine, and of course meeting people! It's a good jam for beginner and veteran jammers alike!

Septagon Game Jam

Sounds like a great opportunity! Do you know of any teams looking for a member? Or a forum where I can look for a group?

We have a Discord Server as well as community board on the jam page. It would be far fetched to say that it's the best place to team up at the moment. Very few people are active on the server. I'm not terribly sure if the jam will have high participation yet. It's really hard to say. You could make a post on this forum describing the exacts roles you need on a team (Artists, Sound Designers, Programmers, etc...) I definitely want to encourage you to participate in game jams, even if it's not this one. It's a great experience either way!

Hey, I've just finished my bachelor's in CS, and have been job hunting these days. I just recently started game dev as I had nothing to do, and it seemed fun, I wanted to see if I could try my hands on game jams, and am looking to join a team, would be even better if we're complete beginners since I want to learn, and see how it'll be working in a team. Reply to me if you're okay with teaming up for the jam mentioned by Morgan Dillon earlier.

Teaming up sounds good. Message me on discord @ghosthaven

Sent request mine is @yamimao

Thanks for joining the Jam! I'm looking forward to being your host! If you know of anyone who might be interested in participating, can you let them know?
